I am nerdy, sarcastic, and easygoing.
My Self-Summary
I enjoy trying new things, and even though I recently (finally!)
left school, I strive to always be learning. My current venture is
learning how to cook better so I won't be so reliant on recipes. I
tend to seek out new challenges and people who can challenge me,
especially intellectually.
I can be a bit difficult to get to know because people tend to find
my sarcasm off-putting, but behind the sarcastic demeanor, I'm
pretty easygoing. I try not to take anything (especially myself)
too seriously.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently abandoned my quest for the elusive PhD in English and
left my graduate program to become a union organizer. I help
workers in higher education organize to form unions and negotiate
contracts that will enable them to support themselves while they do
what they love. I'm passionate about what I'm doing and excited to
be starting a new career path.
I’m really good at
Logic problems, sudoku, puzzles, Scrabble--other forms of nerdery.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: The Sound and the Fury, Absalom Absalom!, The U.S.A.Trilogy,
Yonnondio, The Girl, The Passion, GUT Symmetries, Tropic of Cancer,

little bit of everything. Some favorites include: Amelie, The
Apartment, Best in Show, Bound, Chasing Amy, Double Indemnity, The

Fidelity, Little Miss Sunshine, Meet John Doe, Monsieur Verdoux,

Food: I don't want to live anywhere lacking good seafood and/or
sushi.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter. Everything else is expendable.
But as far as material things go, I wouldn't want to do without: my
iPod, books, movies, tv/dvd player, camera, and passport.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Places I'd like to visit and/or live someday.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home watching a movie, at the bar or just hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I can't really think of anything I wouldn't be willing to admit
here, so I guess if you want to know, just ask.
You should message me if
You appreciate sarcasm.
