My self-summary
Allow myself to introduce...myself. I suppose you could say I'm a quintessential Seattlite, although I hope that doesn't make you immediately think of the PEMCO NW Profiles, like the "Sandals and Socks Guy". I'm not that guy. I moved here from a mountain town in CO so that I could be in a large city yet close enough to the mountains and water so that I can work by weekday and get the h*ll out of dodge by weekend. I'm an avid skier, hiker, backpacker, camper, paddleboarder, runner, yada yada yada. You get the point. On the flip side, I'm also an avid urban explorer; I try to take advantage of living in Seattle by experiencing all this city has to offer (after all, I left 300 days of sunny CO to be here!!). If the WA State Ferries had a frequent floater nautical mile program, I'd have premier status. I love the islands. However, my true passion (spoiler alert: the most cliche statement of online dating is coming) is to get outside of this rainy region we call the PacNW and travel abroad. I lived in France for two years, traveled to SE Asia, Central America, all over Europe, Iceland, South America, and am planning on letting that list grow in the near future.
What I’m doing with my life
By day I work for a small, local consulting company. At all other times I'm learning to play the piano, planning my next big trip, cooking, running or exercising, among a few other select priorities.
I’m really good at
French. Travelling. Serving a volleyball but not spiking it. Surfing behind a boat but not in the ocean. Brewing IPA. Telling the difference between a Malbec and a Merlot (but Cab and Zin always screws me up). Hiking mountains. Cooking - well, getting better. Maintaining strong friendships. Finding something to do while on vacation (read: I suffer from Vaca-DD; a restless syndrome where I always have to be doing something and find it hard to just sit by the pool). Remembering birthdays.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Tale of Two Cities, The Power of One, Catch-22, Confederacy of Dunces, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Sun Also Rises, any travel book of an upcoming destination, multiple titles by Thomas Friedman and Noam Chomsky. Currently reading The Jungle.

Movies: LA Story, Shashank Redemption, In America, The Power of One, The Lifes of Others, Indochine, The Sea Inside, The Secret in Their Eyes, Amelie, Maria Full of Grace, My Best Friend, Pan's Labyrinth. Basically, I'm a huge fan of indie and foreign films. The list here could go on and on and on and on.

Shows: Modern Family, Extras, Life's Too Short, Breaking Bad, Cash Cab, anything on History or Discovery, The Wire...

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where my next travel adventure is going to be and what fish I'm going to see under the water. What I'm going to say at my friends' wedding that I'm officiating in May. Whether it's going to be an early summer in Seattle. When Breaking Bad season 4 will be available on Netflix. When I'm finally going to get into Elemental near Gasworks. When I'm going to stop hearing about Kony 2012 and whether or not their campaign to 'Cover the Night' on 4/20 is going to work. My job. When I'm going to make it back to France.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I"m actualy a pretty good spellar but I had to use Outlook a cuple of times to make sure a few words were spelled write.

I also respect sarcasm.
