My self-summary
When not hanging out as Anonymous on one of the chans, geeking out on Linux or catching up on webcomics, I enjoy single malt Scotch, shotguns, good movies and books. I read mostly non-fiction these days, am politically active and just bought a motorcycle.

I have one wonderful daughter who is even more difficult than me. I blame her mother. ;-)

I am analytical, unpredictable, and difficult.

What I’m doing with my life
I support Linux web hosts these days. I spent a year working in Murfreesboro and Nashville, TN (570 mi from Kalamazoo). I could get a better job if I left Michigan, but I really couldn't be that far, for that long, from my daughter. :-( Kids are a trip, and never let anyone tell you different.

I now own a Kawasaki EX250 Ninja. It's the best purchase I've made in a long time, excepting only my safety razor, perhaps.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
• Politically, I am a classical Liberal (conservative/libertarian), and that creates a lot of philosophical cross-talk.
• Being bisexual, I think about male and female identity, and enjoy trading sexual histories with new acquaintances (often more enlightening than titillating, hm).
• I think a lot about how Stephen Hillenburg owes John Kricfalusi royalties.
• On the trade-offs of operating systems, system libraries and various compilers and languages.

On a typical Friday night I am
Home. I'm terribly boring. I used to hang at bars with good beer and live music (preferably Celtic or alternative, so you can dance or just listen) but lost the habit; perhaps I will get back into it.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a Republican. ;-) Seriously, it freaks people out. It's like bisexuality: the Democrats hate you, the Libertarians hate you…
