The last year brought many changes to my life; new city, new career... I found my place here in nyc, loving my job writing curriculum and piloting health education programs. Now, 2013 is all about living life to the fullest!

While I will always be a beach bum at heart, and most summer weekends you can find me at the shore, I want to see more of what's here in NYC; the fun things, new and exciting, conversation starters...

I've moved to NYC from Philadelphia in 2012 to pursue work in the nonprofit world. It's been a wild ride, and I am loving every second.

Listening to those I care about when they need me. Generally being a good friend and daughter. I make a mean chicken noodle soup. I can read quite quickly, hence why my apartment/IPad are filled with books.

I laugh with all of heart; my smile is really big; and I am just me.

Books... too many to count. Enjoy reading travel memoirs, historical accounts, fiction. Currently reading Killing Kennedy and just finished The Timekeeper.

Movies... My friends will tell you that I am a movie encyclopedia, which is probably something I've inherited from my dad. Go to movies: Anything by Mel Brooks, Love Actually (Big surprise...), Pulp Fiction, Moonstruck, The Godfather series, original Star Wars (4-6) and A Christmas Story, just to name a few.

TV... BBC Sherlock Holmes, Big Bang Theory, An Idiot Abroad, The Office, 30 Rock, Mysteries at the Museum, Family Guy, Man v. Food....

Music... I love R&B/Hip Hop/Rap, Standards like Sinatra and Bennett, Clapton, but big go to's are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and I do enjoy the occasional Top 40. Being that my best friend is from the South, I'm learning to love Country, but more pop/rock country than classic twang country.

Food... Huge, huge foodie. I mean really, who doesn't love to eat!? One of the best things about living in New York is the plethora of restaurants. I'd say my top 3 favorite restaurant styles are Steakhouses, Japanese food, and Italian. But to be really honest, I love most cuisines!

The why's in life, what make people do what they do. I am always trying to understand things so I can be a better daughter, friend, and overall person...

If it's the summer I am without a doubt at the shore, either in the pool or on the beach.... The rest of the year It is pretty 50/50: I love grabbing drinks with friends, but saying bye to my dog and very comfy couch can prove to be difficult sometimes.

....I guess you'll have to wait to hear this one...
