I just graduated from Med school and so I guess I am in between jobs at the moment, trying to figure out what to do with my life. I probably wouldn’t mind going for a PhD if I could just decide on which subject I find most interesting and of course if there is a position open in that field. But I guess we’ll have to see what happens in the future.
I guess that I should also mention that I have an MSc in Electrical Engineering. So what in the world made me go to med school? Well, I had what you could call a mentor where I worked when I was fresh out of uni. He was the one I could always go to when I had questions or needed advice. Unfortunately he passed away about five years ago in cancer and the place I worked at never felt the same again after that. So I guess it got me thinking about the choices I had made in life and what I wanted to do with my life. Well, to make a long story short I decided that I wanted to do something that made a difference in someone else’s life. At the end of the day I hope that, maybe the world’s a bit better place than it was when I got out of the bed in the morning. Perhaps a bit idealistic but I guess that’s just who I am.
I can’t say that I am very materialistic. Which is one of the reasons I have managed to spend ten years at uni without much effort. But well, all good things must end at some point. I guess my end is in sight and just a year and a half from now you might find me working as an intern somewhere.
Aside from that I am a verbal person who enjoys conversations, literature, photography and a few other things. I do also love cooking which is always good fun in the company of friends. Good food is always best enjoyed in the company of friends, right?
I am curious, happy, and positive
