My self-summary
I like to think I've come a long way from the video game nerd in high school. I mean, video games are still fun, but so is getting out of the house and experiencing life. I love visiting friends in LA, Oregon and Arizona. I support fellow musician's performances and I play at local open mics where I've made a lot of good friends. I even marched a protest in SJ when Prop 8 passed.

I ran a Badminton Meetup group for a year. I joined a Volleyball league, work out and run in an attempt to get back in shape. I ran a half-marathon a few years ago, and would like to again. During baseball season, I'm a pretty big Oakland A's fan. Are you a Giants fan? It's ok, we can go to AT&T Park for a game or two. I'm becoming more and more of a Sharks fan, but sometimes feel like they are destined to be the Chicago Cubs of NHL.

I love music. iTunes or Pandora are almost always running when I'm home. When my best friend got his driver's license in high school, the first thing we did was drive down the street blasting the Star Wars opening titles, cause we're cool like that. I've also been known to miss dialogue at the movies because I was busy listening to the background music.

Most importantly though, my friends agree that some of my best traits as a friend are my ability to be a quirky goofball and a supportive friend, cause everyone needs a friend like that... especially the quirky goofball :-)
What I’m doing with my life
I just finished my BA in Creative Arts at SJSU. I'm currently transitioning from working at the grocery job that got me through college to office/administration. In the meantime I play guitar and sing and perform at open mics for fun. I'm currently composing music for a video game a friend is developing, which is really fun and exciting. I get my exercise by running, biking, and games of Dodgeball, Kickball and Badminton
I’m really good at
Music: Band geek in high school, choir geek in college, singer/songwriter with my guitar now. My sister blames me for getting all the family musical talent.

Also, finding a way for friends to have fun at a baseball game even if they aren't as big a baseball fan as I am.
The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing people notice is that I'm not afraid to be myself, even around strangers. I'm a proud goofball and a dork... I'm also kinda loud
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Honestly didn't do much leisure reading through college because I was busy reading textbooks, but I did enjoy, The Da Vinci Code, Timeline by Michael Crichton, and the Harry Potter series.

Movies: The Avengers, How to Train Your Dragon, Moneyball, Monsters Inc, Spirited Away, The Dark Knight, High Fidelity, Liar Liar, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ocean's Eleven, Office Space, The Shawshank Redemption, Slumdog Millionaire, The Truman Show, V for Vendetta. While I'm not a fanatic, I do have a soft spot for the Muppets too.

TV Shows: The Simpsons, Scrubs, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Firefly, House M.D., Dexter

Music: so much more than I could list, but here's some: Barenaked Ladies, Jenn Grinels, Shawn Evans, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Jack Johnson, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Motion City Soundtrack, The Wallflowers, Jack's Mannequin, Presidents of the USA, Reel Big Fish, film scores
I spend a lot of time thinking about
lyrics for my unfinished songs, and where I'd like to travel to next!
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a typical Friday. Maybe a concert by one of my many talented open mic friends. Maybe at the A's game if they're home. Maybe seeing a movie, grabbing drinks or getting caught up on a TV show on DVD with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My love of music was evident at an early age. My mom recalls a story of me dancing around in my playpen to the Fraggle Rock theme.
