My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a quiet, gentle and delicate girl with a lot going on underneath the surface. A few years ago, I moved to London from across the continent to do a bit of growing up and a bit of roughing up. Now I've moved up to lovely Edinburgh to reverse all that and get back my displaced bright-eyed innocence. At my best, I am sickeningly sweet and smart. At my worst, I am sitting on an isolated park bench drinking pre-mixed j&t cans with a neutral facial expression.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am ooohing and aaahing at Edinburgh vistas. I do cartwheels on the muddy ground in the Meadows. I hula-hoop when no one's watching. I get excited about new technologies, whacky inventions, pop culture fads, weird stories and silly songs and then excitedly tell people all about it. On a nine-to-five basis, I transform myself into a mad scientist and stare at chromosomes all day long.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can easily tell what I'm not good at. I am not good at anything that needs to be done daily and practically. I am not good at cooking, finding a bargain, small talk and talking about last night's tv schedule. I am not good at ironing and I am definetely not good at making tea. Everything else, I am really good at.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Post-apocalyptic and distopian lit, Jonathan Franzen, David Foster-Wallace, Tao Lin, massive dead writer crush on DH Lawrence, european cinema, naive childish little films like Wes Anderson and The Squid and the Whale, nothing too epic or too violent- I prefer my epic stories written down, thanks...not a well refined music taste, indie, basic folksie melodies, sentimental electro
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could do without anything, I am ingenious and innovative like that!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spent a lot of time thinking about how things work, engines, mechanisms, escalators, cells and creatures. I like old machines with mechanical or analogue opreation. I think about shoes and lipstick occasionally too.
