My self-summary
I’ve lived in TN, MI, CA, and now Boston. I think it’s absolutely fascinating how people can have such different personalities based on where they live.

I like having really long phone conversations (in person is even better). I know texting is now the norm, but I'm old school that way. I’ve found that sarcasm does not come across very well in texts (to my dismay), so if I don’t know someone that well I have to put in constant emoticons.

Speaking of emoticons, I’m pretty sure the smirk is a perfect representation of my personality.

If I had to describe myself in 5 words I would choose: empathetic, intense, funny, authentic, and feisty.

I can be quirky, awkward, and sometimes my humor is self-deprecating, but I am completely unapologetic about it. Life is too short to change yourself to please other people :)
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a student at BU, and this summer I'm an intern at a film production company in Boston.
I’m really good at
Movie trivia, analyzing/reading people (I love reading about body language, and I've studied a lot of psychology), finding new and interesting music, thinking fast in an emergency situation (random, but true), acting (Film and Theatre), having quirky conversations, teasing and bantering back and forth with people, sarcasm.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my long hair, and that I laugh a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music:
Top 40 (sometimes I just want to listen to a generic pop song), and then obscure indie bands. I tend to like British indie rock bands a lot. I also really like blues/rock (classic and contemporary). The list can go on and on...

Movies:
Indie movies (my two favorites recently are Short Term 12, and The Spectacular Now), American Beauty, Blue Valentine, comedies (I love Will Ferrell), classics (Hitchcock is a particular favorite), superhero movies (I like "The Dark Knight" trilogy). There really isn't a genre of movie that I don't enjoy, or that I wouldn't be willing to watch, except horror. I will only watch horror movies in broad daylight with the sound on mute, and that defeats the whole purpose.

Books:
Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, plays (A Streetcar Named Desire, Proof), psychology, criminology, acting books, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, The Alchemist, The Great Gatsby, In the Lake of the Woods, Divergent, Hunger Games.

Shows:
BBC mini-series (especially the classics like Austen and Bronte adaptations), Sherlock, Orphan Black, True Blood (seasons 1-4, I don't like the recent seasons), Parks and Rec, The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Killing, The Good Wife.
The six things I could never do without
1. Human interaction (you won't find me holing up in the deep Appalachian mountains by myself)
2. Music
3. Books
4. Chocolate (I did give it up for Lent one year when I was little--it was torture)
5. Animals (I love animals: cats, dogs, horses, basically any mammal, and I've always wanted a ferret for some reason)
6. Film and TV, and acting
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why does Nicholas Cage choose to do such awful movies, and why do I find him weirdly intriguing?

If I were going to be on The Amazing Race who I would take.

What it would be like if I was a secret agent.

Why people do the things that they do, and what they might be thinking about at any given moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, going out to dinner, watching TV or a movie, working on a screenplay, reading a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I absolutely loathe turtlenecks (personally and on other people). Seriously people, if your neck is cold then just wear a scarf.
