My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name's Brian and I love to make terrible puns and obscure references to both TV shows and movies. I like to think I'm funny, or that I'm so ridiculously lame that it is funny, but I haven't quite gotten a vote from a jury of my peers verifying this. In any case, I try to keep things light and slightly inappropriate as much as possible, else I feel I would be doing it wrong.

I want to point out right away that I am an atheist (actually, more specifically I'm an agnostic, anti-theist, for those who care about such things.). If dating an atheist is not something you can reconcile, then it would be best that we not use up each other's time. I've found this is good to relay right away to make profile browsing much quicker.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am an IT Software Developer at the large digital display company, Daktronics. I love my job because I get to develop multiple projects for different business groups in the company, which means I get to add value to all aspects of the company. When I earned my BA in 2010 I didn't even know what the perfect job for me would be, but somehow I found it. It is challenging, rewarding, and fun. Nothing is better than getting paid to do what you love.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm known by my friends for being a TV/movie nerd. Essentially, if there is ever an argument about a TV/movie related fact, I settle it.

I'm also good at making really lame puns and plays on words. I find it funny to be lame on purpose and I'm fascinated by the little coincidences that occur with a tweak in semantics of a phrase.

I'm fairly decent at racquetball and plan to keep improving. As long as my brother keeps getting better, I have to keep finding ways to beat him.

Lastly, I'm very good at "working with computers" as most of my family calls it. More specifically, I have a vast knowledge of software development with an emphasis of web development. It is a working knowledge that I keep building both through my job and projects I work on in my personal time. I know quite a lot about fixing software issues on computers as well. I have a fairly long history of working in "computer help desk"-like positions and helping family members with their tech issues.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People probably notice either my hair, my eyes, or my glasses first:
-My hair because I mess it up a bit (I'm hoping in a non-douchy way. :) No one's said anything, at least)
-My eyes because they are a magnificently brilliant blue. Or, if you want to be more specific, they are just blue
-My glasses because they are the black thick-rimmed type of glasses

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life and how my views differ from most in the Midwest. I like to think I'm appropriately cynical about life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I usually am getting food and a couple of drinks with friends at a local Irish Pub. Sometimes bowling happens. Other times I just relax at home by catching up on TV shows are or writing software. I don't go out to get drunk and I definitively despise dance clubs. They are definitely not for me.

You should message me if you are truly ok with me being an atheist. Too many people in this area have such strong Faiths, and I absolutely abhor faith for faith's sake.
