My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ex music blog editor of 10 years. Founded two sites you probably never heard of (Buzzgrinder and Noise Creep). Huge Internet nerd, metal head, friend of cats, and coffee drinker.

Nomad since late 2010 when I left NYC with my bike and a bag. I biked across NJ and most of PA. Then I bought a bike bag and started traveling by bus between cities. Biked in OH, KY, TN, GA, AL, NOLA, TX, OK, FL, NC, SC, VA, RI, MA, ME in about a year before getting injured. I'm still traveling all over the US, though, just without a bike. Lots of visiting friends and overnight buses.

Introverted, but I can be social in small doses. No packed bars, don't really do shows anymore. Festivals? Noooo. But quiet hangs with a group of good folks on porches or living rooms? Sign me up.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Baking cookies, biking, hiking, long walks in woods or cities, exploring, drawing robots, Twitter (@sethw) and other Internet things, making coffee, long distance bus travel (my record is 27 hours), sleeping anywhere, eating like I'm a teenager, playing bass (since 1991).

Very much into metal (hair metal, doom, stoner, sludge, death), grunge, math-rock, rock, Tron-soundtrack, and as a bass player into Primus / Victor Wooten - but I am sooo not a music snob. Not a music elitist at all. If you say you like metal but "OMG can't name the first five albums from all of the BIG FOUR in order" I don't give a shit.

Breakfast foods are my favorite, and pizza, coffee, cookies, chocolate, Mexican food, Indian food, and pizza. Pizza.

Magazines: Monocle, Decibel, Thrasher, BMX magazine, Offscreen Mag, The Great Discontent

Star Wars, 'Death Star.'

Ask me if I've seen a movie. I'll probably say nope. Yes, I'm that guy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Good coffee.
2. Food. I get grouchy without it.
3. Shoes. I hate being barefoot.
4. Friends.
5. Alone time.
6. Internet.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

Smart phones came out just seven years ago. We look back on that now and think, "how'd we get around without a GPS in our back pocket?" or being able to check email all the time. So now, in 2021, what will we look back on today and think, "how'd we LIVE like that?"

You want to show me around your city, eat pizza, stroll along the river, get coffee, swap adventure stories.

You're cool with record shops and book stores over bars and fancy restaurants.

I'm primarily looking to make new friends here on OKC. I travel too much for anything long-term*.

* That said, I'm open to falling madly in love, buying matching BMX bikes, and settling down in a tiny home in a vacant city lot or cabin in the woods.
