I'm from a small town. I moved to Austin about two years ago to go to graduate school for chemistry. I'm enjoying the experience of living in a bigger city with a greater variety of people to meet and things to do. I'm a work in progress. Among my more annoying habits that I'm trying to quell is the tendency to cut myself off from finishing one idea and abruptly transition to another. Sometimes I get back to the main point, and sometimes I just forget. For this reason, I'm looking for a patient, tolerant person.

I'm studying physical chemistry in graduate school. I am also getting to know myself better and feel that I'm establishing great footholds in life. I am optimistic. There aren't many things that I consider a waste of time. I know we've got a limited amount and should use it wisely, but there's enough pressure on most people. I don't like to add to that pressure by being extremely judgmental about how we spend our time.

It would be neat to know the actual answer to this question. I ask lots of questions and tend to talk a lot one on one. I am shy or quiet in large groups of people.

Never do without is strong wording, but I like school (science and math specifically), video games, music, foreign languages, movies, and juice.

most everything. I don't notice any particular trend about the things that interest me. I tend to be oblivious to many things that happen around me, but when something catches my fancy I probably think more about it than most people would. (Though I expect most people think of themselves as more thoughtful than others). Sometimes this musing can be fruitless practically speaking, but I enjoy it.

you are an interested person. Being interested generally leads to being interesting in my experience. Certainly an interest in me would be helpful here, but in addition to that I mean you have a wide variety of interests. Apathy is one of my biggest turn offs. I can think of so few things that warrant it. I like my people smiling and engaged. But there are so many layers to people that we probably don't need to meet detailed criteria in order to get along - mostly we just need tenacity.
