I tend to like a lot of classics with a little trash thrown in. Right now I'm reading Noel Coward's Collected Stories...who knew he wrote great short stories? Also on a Jack London binge...everyone knows his earlier works but his later, lesser known books show an astonishing amount of self-awareness.

Other favorite authors...Somerset Maugham, the Bronte sisters, Philip Roth, Nabokov, Frank O'Connor, Dorothy Parker. I enjoy authors who write truths about the human condition that we never knew we knew.

What's on my Ipod: Everything from total old school (Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Van Morrison) to kinda old school ( U2, Dave Matthews, Goo Goo Dolls) to somewhat current (The Script, The Fray, Linkin Park). And of course I'm a chick so Adele is on there : ) . My kids love One Republic, Pink and the Black Eyed Peas..and I have to admit I do too!

either hanging with my kids (love having sleepovers) or out with friends. Right now my favorite hot spot is Dosa on Fillmore...great energy, great drinks & spicy Indian food!

I took my dads car when I was 15 to go joyriding with a friend. Since I was a terrible driver, we got busted & spent the night in jail. My dad was not impressed when he came to pick us up & the cops told him we were practicing our dance moves in the jail cell.
After 400 hours of community service, I came to the conclusion that crime does not pay. Now my joyriding is limited to occasional road trips to Carmel or the Wine Country...where I (mostly) obey the speed limit.
