My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm educated, worldly, adventurous, and fun :) ... former college athlete, rocket scientist, serial entrepreneur, outdoor enthusiast, ironman, funny, smart, passionate, self-aware, confident but humble, driven but down to earth, amazing but in awe. I have a great career and a great set of friends ... and am generally awesome and happy :)

I am looking for a woman who is comfortable with herself, confident, and career-accomplished; fit, fun, and family-oriented; someone who adds balance to my life, and I to hers. Together, we'd keep each other grounded but let each other soar; push each other, but hold each other closely; make each other laugh, but intellectually challenge each other.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend my time balancing being a great dad (half-time), consulting in tech, running my own business, and enjoying the outdoors
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the big picture, making decisions, getting things done

Not wasting a sunny day, spontaneously planning adventures, raising the bar for fun (when appropriate)

Fixing things around the house

Carving pumpkins
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Warm hearted, sarcastic wit, confident"

I've also had people tell me that some guys pay a lot of money for calves like mine (calf implants - who knew?)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Mostly non-fiction - science and/or business (The Elegant Universe, Fermat’s Enigma, Prime Obsession, The Tipping Point, Blue Ocean Strategy) and occasionally some history (especially history of San Francisco or California), but I also read my fair share of kids books :)

Movies: I like a wide mix as long as they're well written, well-acted and unique – The Shawshank Redemption, Ferris Buellar’s Day Off, The Matrix, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Meet Joe Black. Lately, I’ve been on a kick of subtitled movies (they demand your full attention and pull you in).

TV: I mix in some to turn off/tune out - Sports, AGT, Game of Thrones, Cold Case

Music: Anything that’s crisp and clean and sang with passion. I grew up on Springsteen, U2, Pink Floyd, Triumph, etc, but I can equally moved by opera, gospel, blue grass, even rap (well really only Eminem).

Food: Omnivore (except olives - unless they are soaked in vodka).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Sun, Wind, Water
- A core group of friends
- Exercise, Adrenalin, Endorphins
- New experiences
- Mental Stimulation (a good conversation, a puzzle, scrabble)
- Moments that make you stop and think about how amazing life is (like the way the sun sparkles off orange and black confetti coming down amidst skyscrapers – Go Giants.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make a difference / How to be a better person - dad, son, friend, community member, human ... And how to find someone awesome to join me on that journey.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
... doing one of the following:
1. Heading to Tahoe for the weekend.
2. Doing something fun with my kids (e.g. Friday nights at the De Young)
3. Heading out or staying in for dinner and red wine with friends

Sometimes, I get to do all three (head to Tahoe with my kids to meet friends for dinner and wine before a great day on the slopes) :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been to a Cyndi Lauper concert - she rocks (I mean bops).
... I am a child of the 80's
