I am relaxed, spontaneous, and active.

My Self-Summary

Just graduated from a tech school on the east coast with a Master's degree and moved to SF a few months ago. I have plenty of friends from school here, but I'm interested in branching out and meeting other people so I don't end up stuck in a social rut. Extremely into skiing and the outdoors, but definitely cool with more chill indoor activities.

What I’m doing with my life

Just finished graduate school, starting a career. Planning on working in industry for a little while to gain experience, but definitely have no desire to be locked into a large corporation for the rest of my life; I'd rather have personal independence and be my own boss.

I’m really good at

Skiing, making a good time of pretty much any situation, fucking around in general,

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Isaac Asimov (Foundation), Richard Feynman (Six Easy Pieces, Six Not So Easy Pieces), Frank Herbert (Dune), Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game, etc), Homer (Illiad, Odyssey) Vergil (The Aeneid) Neil Gaiman (American Gods), Richard Dawkins

Movies: The Big Lebowski, Pi, Primer, Army of Darkness, Better off Dead, Blazing Saddles, Snatch, Trailer Park Boys

Music: Tool, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin are favorites, but also: Rush, Iron Maiden, David Bowie, Muse, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Faint, Smashing Pumpkins, Primus, Les Claypool, Ladytron, Fischerspooner, Royksopp, Daft Punk, NIN, Tom Petty, CCR, CSNY, RATM, Cream, Simon and Garfunkel Boston, Johnny Cash, Counting Crows, Dream Theater, Focus, George Thorogood, Jethro Tull, KMFDM, Machinae Supremacy

Food: Buffalo wings, but also I will eat anything (seriously, anything, as long as it is actually food) at least once.

The six things I could never do without

skiing
mountains
water (rivers, lakes, ocean)
quality beer
open spaces
intellectual stimulation

I spend a lot of time thinking about

environmental politics, technology, skiing, the future, good memories

On a typical Friday night I am

out drinking with friends or at a party; concerts/shows if any are happening

in the winter: eating a big meal and going to sleep early to go skiing the next day

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Due to a childhood stairs accident, I am missing that weird flap of skin between my upper lip and my gums above my two front teeth.

Due to a junior year running-into-a-fire-escape-while-sober accident, I have a scar on my forehead just above my hairline. And that was not my only hospitalizing head injury that year.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm not very good at stairs.

You should message me if

If you found the above interesting, you have anything to talk about that you think I might find interesting. I always enjoy learning new things.

Definitely message me if: you hate it when people complain about snow, and you want to go jump some cliffs on skis (or snowboards, I don't discriminate)
