Too many to list, but let me give it a go...
i really enjoy autobiographies. just read Measure of a Man by
Sidney Poitier, Along the Way by Emilo Estevez and Martin Sheen,
and Life by Keith Richards.
this year i also got really into Don Winslow, especially Savages
and Kings of Cool.
Just finished reading "Long on Adventure" by John Long. very
inspiring to say the least.
"How to breathe underwater" by Julie Orringer - wow!
I love so many movies, ranging from art house to commerical. i'm a
movie-slut for sure - as are both my brothers. Just saw Skyfall,
the new Bond film. It is a great reboot of a classic series (go
Brits with style! - yes, i do like wearing a suit). Although late
to watch it, i just saw Tsotsi (2005). Not sure how i didn't see
that one because it was amazing. Others include Fight Club,
Bridesmaids, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest, Seven Samuari, Lucky
Number Sleven, American Beauty, Treasure of the Sierra Padre, M,
The Piano...i could go on...
Music: This is a long winded topic, but i'll try to be brief. If
stuck on an island and given only 3 artists to listen to it would
be Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Marley and Elvis. Huh? Yup, kind of
diverse. i love dance music too, and the electronica list would
drag. feel free to ask, for i love talking and sharing music. i
grew up with punk, so that also holds a dear spot in my
library.
I tend towards spicy food in general. love tons of veg and fruit.
if having to be specific, most asian food works well for me.
Organic options :-)
Love Central Kitchen, Flour and Water, Heirloom, Slow Club, Plow.
Just went to Sumiya in Santa Clara - great izakaya in the bay area!
