My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So, this thing wants me to put a bit more down here...so I shall!

Ladies, there is no way around it...I'm a geek. I like all kinds of things that will probably make you close this window. Video games, comics, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Anime, board gaming, shirts with quantum mechanics jokes. You name it.

I'm also an introvert. Now, before you go judging that, go read 'Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking' and make sure you actually know what one of us is. If you are looking for someone to go to big social gatherings...not me. But someone who loves deeper conversation in intimate groups, I can be the life of that party.

Don't ask me if those jeans make you look fat. The urge to actually answer you (which might be yes or no or 'what are you talking about?') rather than give the guy answer of 'you look great honey'. But also know that if I tell you that you look great...then I really mean it.

If you like snark, you've come to the right place. I have more than one friend demanding an app that will give them the proper smart alec answer in a given situation.

I'm happy with my life, so I'm not looking for someone to 'fix' it or complete it. Just looking for someone to share it with.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Cruising. I'm kinda just happy with the way things are. Good job, good friends, wonderful family.

In the back of my mind are things like travel (would love to go to Japan...or Norway...). Getting back into Ballroom dancing. Working on my weight. Stuff to break me from the stasis.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Nothing. I see myself as more a Jack of All Trades, master of none. Although I do feel that I have a decent level of creativity and am quite good at reason and deduction.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I suppose that depends on how they meet me. In a large social gathering, they would probably see me as pretty shy and reserved. With a small group of friends? Far more gregarious and amusing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Anything Terry Pratchett, for books. Omnivores Dilemma. The 'Quiet' book I mentioned above. Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling's books were great!

For movies, I am generally a sci-fi fantasy nut. So all of the comic book movies are on my list this year. Especially Kick Ass 2.

For TV, my currently TiVoed stuff is: Justified, Archer, Community, Game of Thrones, Futurama, Cougar Town (it is not about what it sounds like), Castle, and lots of USA and Adult Swim shows.

I've been getting more interested in food as a whole. How it is made, what it is made from, the work put into it. Enjoying local places. I will try most things...but not a big seafood fan.

My music tastes are broad. But lately I have been listening to podcasts and NPR in lieu of music. When I do listen to music, They Might Be Giants is my go to Pandora station. Which leads to BNL, Ben Folds, the Shin, Cake, and much more. At the same time I love Megadeth and Tool, but also Buffett, Huey Lewis, and Billy Joel.

Generally not a huge fan of poppy country music. But I like Bluegrass (Love Steve Martin's last two albums).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
You know...hard to say. There are things like the internet and games that I am so used to having that I can't generally do without them. But I sometimes wonder how much simpler life might be if I were stuck on a desert island without them.

I guess I will answer this for realzies.
1) Internet
2) Tablet
3) Social interaction with people I care about
4) intellectual stimulation
5) Fantasy Worlds for my head to live in
6) illudium pu-36
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lots of things. Religion, Politics, science, psychology. And various fictional universes that my brain also lives in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home, gaming/reading/watching TV. Lately Trivia night at the Hobbit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really know how to date. With the exception of a couple longer relationships, I have very little experience in it.

You found anything in here that made you want to talk to me? Seems an odd thing to have to tell people, but I'll play along.
