I am reticent, thoughtful, and changing.

My Self-Summary

well i'm not sure what to say, my name is Shawn. I don't have very many hobbies. I used to dabble with music. I was o.k.. I can chunk out chords as well as read a little music. I used to read. But honestly I don't know what to read anymore. Maybe I can get a few ideas from members here. I'm ok at word games and kinda wish I'd learned how to play chess. It's an interesting game but I stink at it. In conversation I'm more of a counter-puncher, which is as much to say I'm not real great at starting up conversation. I would say my energy is sub-dued. If I drink, which I seldom do but sometimes, I loosen up a bit but am apt to act stupid in some way, which keeps me from drinking for a bit afterword. I simply can't smoke pot anymore. I used to enjoy it for music, but I tend to go a bit lunar or something when I do it anymore. Basically I'm a simple person. In some companies (many companies) I'm liable to say pretty much nothing at all. But when I find some comfort with someone I talk a bit more. In hindsight I wish I'd valued money more as it seems to help things out greatly and it's a healthy motivator, sorta keeps the stylus on the disc. I have bipolar tendencies but I take meds for it and haven't had an episode for a long while.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm on hold right now. Considering going back to school for a couple of years and maybe getting a decent income.

I’m really good at

I'm a decent typer and fairly fast reader. I wouldn't say I'm really good at anything but I'm passable at a bit.

The first things people usually notice about me

I look young, not the best voice, weak lungs, a bit twangy.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books- I read a lot of philosophy which in retrospect was probably a waste of time, maybe Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm, Brothers Karamazov, Confederacy of Dunces, Man and his symbols, Aesop's Fables, to name a few...

Music- These days I try to find music without any words, personal reasons I guess...lately Phillip Glass, Dustin O'Halloran, Yann Tiersen, etc..used to listen to Beck, Radiohead, Panic at the Disco, Beatles, etc...

Movies- They sortuv lose me anymore, I tend not to relate, but ones I've liked include Joe versus the Volcano, Groundhog's Day, Royal Tenenbaums, Three Amigos, Glengary Glenross, Spanish Prisoner, etc...

Food- I like Italian food and Mexican food mostly.

The six things I could never do without

I've proven I could do without quite a bit, my tendency would be to just list the basics though.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

disappointments, the variousness of everything, what to do, wish I had more money, my reality, the bigger reality

On a typical Friday night I am

maybe having a couple of beers talking to someone, maybe a friend.
