Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am in a long-term, committed, open and honest relationship with
my partner of over 35 years (yes, High School Sweethearts). Over
the last 15 years or so, we have also (selectively) related to
other partners in various long term, loving relationship
constellations (polyamory) - sometimes separately, sometimes
together, but always openly and honestly with each other - and done
the very deep human work that goes along with loving more than one.
It has been an enlivening and life-altering adventure of the
It has demanded of us a willingness to explore un-common degrees of
self-awareness and be open to discovery - about ourselves, others,
and this energy that can sprout between humans. It inspires an
unparalleled exploration of the human condition that I can't
imagine having in any other domain - learning authenticity,
transparency, humility, respect, and gratitude for this human
capacity to profoundly love each other.
If living and loving a genuine human experience piques your
interest, curiosity, and - most importantly - your heart, mind,
perhaps you could jot a quick note. You will meet very genuine,
open humans with big hearts and deep respect for you. I love
communicating and will openly discuss any aspect of this un-common
love style - even if you're just curious and not necessarily sure
or interested for intimate relating.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Loving, discovering, breathing, thinking, meditating, working out,
stretching, talking, writing, building, turning pages... not always
in that order! Also building a retreat centre near Toronto to host
meditation, yoga and other group retreats. Or reading Buddhist
philosophy - Chogyam Trungpa's writing has found a lovely resonance
in me over the last 10 years or so.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
listening, talking, feeling, thinking, being open, being authentic,
showing affection, manners, respect. Seeing the bigger picture.
Understanding the whole thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmmm... I have a certain life/sparkle in my eyes that goes along
with a curious intellect. I think that is pretty noticeable. I have
a very balanced energy, which many people note, and I'm generous
with my energy. Also, I'm pretty open and will talk about anything
- but I do blush (leftover from a well-mannered, traditional
up-bringing!). I'm really polite and hold open doors for people

So much to put in here...
Books: My book shelf is mostly filled with buddhist philosophy and
others such as A New Earth - Tolle, Cutting Through Spiritual
Materialism - Trungpa, The Mastery of Love - Ruiz
Movies: Most romantic comedies, good drama, good documentaries,
good stories, occasional adventure/thrillers (if they have good
stories!)... NOT horror... I don't see the point of going to
Music: Brushfire Fairytales - Jack Johnson, Goldberg Variations -
Glen Gould/Bach, anything - Deva Premal, One Fine Day - Elizabeth
Rogers, so many other things! Really like music alot!
Food: Good simple food where you can taste the original
ingredients! Creative combinations and flavours. I get excited by
really good food! I'd love for someone to help me eat better! More
vegetarian. More anti-oxidants. More water.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
True vulnerable openness, Love, companionship to share the journey,
conversation, nature, maple-walnut ice-cream, and long, slow,
lingering kisses. Oh, and really loving, relaxed, un-hurried
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The nature of human experience, love, truth, acceptance, designing
and coordinating a new retreat centre (yeah, that was not
planned... it just happened!). I also spend a lot of time thinking
about all the others out there who are also looking for deep human
connection - in whatever form that arises for them. Also, how to
co-create something with purpose on this earth!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Likely home with family; but could also occasionally be out dancing
5 Rhythms or Contact Improvisation, meeting a friend for dinner and
conversation, settling into the cottage and an open fire, or going
on an internet exploration into some thread or other - usually to
do with humans, the environment, spirituality, Buddhist philosophy,
tantra, sacred sexuality - or just letting go to a great massage!
Lately, out plowing snow at the retreat centre!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have nothing to "admit". I'll just tell you anything you want to
know, hoping your desire to know comes from your motivation for
love, openness and acceptance - and not from judgement and fear.

You want to try something completely open, authentic, human and
loving... in whatever way that comes up for you... romantic or not
is fine, as long as it's authentic (!).
