Hello there. How to summarize myself....Okay, I'm a fairly nerdy, liberal intellectual, who loves nature, and is drawn to kindness. The arts play a huge role in my life - I have been acting, singing, and writing on a competitive level since I was a child; love karaoke and musical theatre; hold a few art degrees; and am always working on some script, book, or other.
If music, animals, and self-expression did not exist, I simply could not go on living.
I'm a really competitive person, and enjoy a good challenge (air hockey, anyone? laser tag? a round of Boggle?). I'm one of those people who says "there is no limit!" and goes out and proves everyone wrong. Human endurance, creativity, and intelligence, in my opinion, are limitless, and I pursue even the most daunting of challenges with the firm belief that, with hard work and the right angle, anything is possible.
What else, what else......Okay, here are some things my friends tend to describe me as (I'll let you determine how valuable you think these things are) :

If a song I like is playing within earshot, sorry, I'm gonna sing it.

If someone walks by with a cute dog, I'm gonna freak out.

If someone says "Shakespeare is boring....," I'm gonna reply "If you knew Will like I knew him, you'd be totally charmed by such a hilarious, perv-minded, gender-bending, history-buff weirdo - and hey, guy's got a way with words, too. What's not to like?"

If, by some miracle, you're still reading, then hey, we might just get along.

I graduated with honors with my BA in Art History last spring, and am applying to an MA Theatre Arts program right now.
I'm a Bay Area playwright and director, working on a script that will perform in San Jose.
I'm also working on a fantasy novel.

Seeing the good in people

Helping people relax, heal, and see the good in themselves/others

Defying stereotypes; pushing the boundaries of personal limitations (example: "plus-sized actors can't get good roles in theatre" - okay, you wanna see my resume?)

-If they're shallow, they probably notice my body type first
(let's establish right now that I'm plus-sized, and curvier than "chubby", okay? there is no body-type suggestion on here that works for me without being an insulting, derogatory term)

-If they're not, I'm usually told: my voice, style, smile

Books - The Picture of Dorian Gray, anything on the subjects of art, history, theatre, nutrition, mythology, fantasy and suspense novels of all sorts

Movies - Closer, Cruel Intentions, Labyrinth, LOTR Trilogy, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Crash, The Descent, and more....

Shows - Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory

Music - 80's pop (Duran Duran), alternative (Coldplay), rock (Disturbed, Slipknot), and others - Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, Alanis Morisette, U2, REM, Tegan & Sara, Fleetwood Mac....

Food - Chinese, Mexican, salads, Italian, seafood, froyo, tiramisu, cheesecake, ****coffee/espresso

Coffee, pets, books, intellectual conversation, theatre, nature
(though closely followed by chocolate, art, film, self-expression, music)

Since I graduated college, Friday night has sort of become like any other night of the week. I'm probably working on a script, catching a movie or a play, or hanging out casually with some friends. Why, do you have something more interesting in mind?

I'm actually a pretty open person. Most of my "secrets" are really other peoples' secrets, which I have no intention of sharing. As for myself, I guess:
- I am unlikely to stay with someone who doesn't have a decent sex-drive
- I'm not sure how I feel about legally-binding marriage (I feel that you can commit long term without the law/government taking part)
