My self-summary Propose an edit

I moved to Sacramento back in 2001 from Orland, a small town near Chico. How small? My graduating highschool class was 126 people. I grew up on a sheep ranch and except for cow-tipping there wasn't much to do. And if you don't know what that is, ask me and I'll tell you (and for those of you that do know, no I actually never did cow tip).

Since there wasn't really much to do, I got into video games at a young age. I think I've played and beaten almost every RPG made for the Playstation. Yes...I'm a dork...Right now I've been playing Final Fantasy XI, an online RPG.

I like spending time reading books, usually sci-fi and fantasy, and I enjoy writing stories, usually along those lines as well. I don't watch much TV. There never seems to be anything on worth watching. I can't stand these so-called "reality" shows that seem to be so popular now-a-days. But I do like catching reruns of Futurama and Family Guy.

I enjoy watching Japanese animation. My collection is growing rapidly and includes the full Robotech series, Wicked City, The Record of Lodoss War, several gay series (Fake, Blaze of Mirage, Descendants of Darkness, Earthian) and several others.

I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. And for whatever reason, the fact I don't drink seems to really disturb some people and I've never really been able to figure out why. It's a personal choice and, no, I was not abused by an abusive alcoholic in my family. For whatever reason, a lot of people just assume this is the case when I tell them I don't drink.

I consider myself agnostic. I was raised Baptist, but quickly became disillusioned with the whole concept. Personally I don't care what religion you are. A person's spirituality is very important to them. What I don't approve of is trying to force your religion or beliefs on someone else.

That being said, it's only fair to say that alot of people I've met find it hard to get along with me... I'm very independent and while I can't say I'm a loner, I do enjoy my own personal alone time.

Also some people have a problem understanding that usually I don't care for extended phone conversations. I like having conversations, but I prefer them to be in person. For reasons I don't even know, I just can't stay focused being social over the phone. It's never anything personal, although people tend to take it that way.

So what else should you know about me? I don't like dancing...I swear I have two left feet and I know I have no rhythm. Definitely not into the bar or club scene. I can occasionally be dragged there by a friend (usually once a year). But personally I find the experience too loud and crowded. I prefer a quiet coffee shop setting chatting face to face with another person. I'm definitely a one-on-one person.

Right now it doesn't feel like I'm doing much. Ha ha. I work full-time, spend time with friends, read, watch TV...the basics.

I read ALOT...I'll just go by authors...Sara Douglas, Alan Dean Foster, RA Salvatore, Chris Rice, Michael Thomas Ford.

I like pretty much all food, though I don't care for really spicy things.

Usually about once a month on Friday I head off to visit my family for the weekend. Otherwise I'm relaxing at home or going out with friends...but usually relaxing at home. Ha ha
