My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
When you're six the world is a simple place. There are the things you love and the things you hate. I loved robots, astronauts, and the Statue of Liberty. Hates? Broccoli, brussels sprouts, and Ginseng soup. All foods, I know, but didn't I just say the world was a simple place?

It gets less simple sixteen years later when you're stuck in France trying to explain to airport security how you lost a bag full of 72 so odd packets of powdered soup, and even a bit more complicated when you have to explain what powdered soup is. Life doesn't always go as planned, but at least it's exciting, no?

72 lost packets of soup and a string of other misadventures, lead to a love of hiking, climbing, snowboarding and the outdoors. I enjoy exploring new places, tasting new foods, and travelling when I can. I have a bad habit of gravitating towards hot springs and tubs wherever I can find them.

The robots, astronauts, and the Statue of Liberty? I never ended up seeing the Statue of Liberty, and unfortunately I have no spaceship to speak of, but I did become a software developer with a taste for design. Literature, films, and video games are all great mediums, and I enjoy curling up and watching a film as much as I love scrambling up mountains. (Pst... I'm also super nerdy).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm an expert at having disastrous hair and forgetting names. No seriously, I've been known to forget someone's name 30 seconds into a conversation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Fight Club is easily my favourite movie, but I also enjoy less nihilistic films like The Empire Strikes Back and The Wrestler. Pixar's movies are great, but I have a soft spot for animated works like Grave of the Fireflies and FLCL.

I don't have a favourite book, but I really enjoyed Gabriel Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude and am huge fan of Haruki Murakami's work. Anne Michael's Fugitive Pieces, Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children and Haroun and the Sea of Stories, Krakauer's Eiger Dreams, and Feyman's Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feyman! too! The list is endless. They're all stupendous.

On games I'd have to say that Baldur's Gate II is my favourite. Older games like X-COM and Deus Ex are great, but so are new titles like Portal and Shadow of the Colossus.

Food. FOOD! New York style cheese cake, mangos, chirashi, dolsot bibimbap, stir fried beef rice noodle, sashimi! Moldy cheese isn't bad cheese (except when it is)!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cooking with friends and hanging out or spending a quiet night reading.
