My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
30 something living in North London looking for somebody to share wine, laughter, travel adventures & hugs. I like going out to gigs (big music fan) and exhibitions, Sunday roasts at the pub with the football on or trying out new restaurants. I really enjoy travelling and exploring new places. I can be pretty shy in situations where I don't know people and find it difficult to sell myself on something like this but I like to think I'm fairly chatty and easy to get on with once I'm more at ease. Been living in London nearly 9 years after moving here from New Zealand.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in marketing/communications for a restaurant chain. It's pretty interesting and fun while also being fairly frustrating and stressful at times. The rest of the time I may be catching up with friends over a glass of wine or a cup of tea, going to a gig to see a great live band, enjoying a film on DVD ages after everybody else saw it at the cinema (must go to the cinema more often), losing myself in a book or making travel plans.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
writing lists, navigating, spotting spelling or punctuation mistakes (that all makes me sound quite boring), err... guitar hero?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love all of Nick Hornby's books, Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy and went a bit crazy about the Game of Thrones series (this applies to TV shows too). I do like watching cooking shows on Saturday mornings (and the occasional episode of masterchef during the week) and can get easily addicted to fairly unintelligent US shows like Revenge and Gossip Girl. Recently I have become a bit obsessed with Pointless.

Some musical faves - David Bowie, The Cure, Francois & The Atlas Mountains, The National, Idlewild, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Royal Blood, Fanfarlo, George Ezra.... Currently really enjoying Walk The Moon and rediscovering Fall Out Boy

Not too keen on horror or sci-fi films but likely to enjoy just about anything else. Some faves - The Princess Bride, Breakfast Club, Lord of The Rings, Walk The Line, High Fidelity, 10 Things I Hate About You, Little Miss Sunshine, Pride and Prejudice, The Emperor's New Groove, In Bruges, The King's Speech, anything Studio Ghibli
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hot showers (they can make anything okay)
