My self-summary Propose an edit

I'm Katie. I'm crazy. No, I'm insane. I love life and I hate life, and I hate people but I crave to be around them. I take the smallest of jokes personally. I think I'm the only one in the world that hates my job. I ego-centric, over-indulgent, depressed and for some reason oddly happy. I can find humor in the bleakest of situations. I married my best friend (FatalBasil) when I was 18 years old. He wasn't then but he is now. It's still working. I think that life would be extremely dull if we were unable to make fun of it.

I have an addiction to World of Warcraft. I won't rant about the WoW as if you'd like to know, you can message me and inquire for yourself.

I have lots of good friends and some of them even eat tacos. ALL of my friends are fucking geniuses in one way or another. I adore them all, and at the same time I am green with envy.

I'm not picky, I'm not pushy, and I'm very open minded. I'll try anything once and do it again and again if I so desire. Oh and also, I'm pro-choice, but that does NOT mean I am pro-abortion.

My brain is cluttered with medical trivia.

I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. Security is for cadavers. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are. There's always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you're really lucky just to be alive. Life is short.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I'm a part time college student, full time Mom. In classes for nursing. I adore all things medical. I'd like to be done and out of college already, but I started late as I wanted to have some freedom to do everything I wanted and didn't want to do. I've spent time working in factories, nursing homes, managing gas stations, rental stores, fast food, and an authentic Mexican restaurant owned by people who couldn't speak English (I didn't know Spanish, either, but somehow we all figured it out). When I hit a low I decided it time to enroll in college and here I am today. I have three classes until I am in my nursing clinical and I am quite excited about it. I'll finally have a decent career, and a decent income. It's not really about the money, but I don't think it hurts to be able to be financially comfortable. By that I mean, I don't want to have to worry about whether I'll be able to make it until my next pay day. Living week to week pretty much sucks. But right now we get by and don't do without.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Okay so I have a terrific talent for reading people. I can talk to you for five minutes (in person) and be able to tell a lot about you. What kind of life you lead, have led, how you grew up, your basic "social status" (like it matters), what kind of music your probably listen to, a loose outline of your political beliefs, and probably many other things. Keep in mind here that I don't do these this on purpose, and I never tried to learn. It's a natural "talent." I'm also very good at being able to tell when someone is lying, playing games, or bullshitting in general. I'm also getting better at knitting, I read very fast and have a high retention/comprehension rate. I'm an avid studier. When I find something that interests me, within a week I'll be a pseudo-expert on the subject. I love to draw but I am no good at it... however I am an Adobe Photoshop genius. I also played violin for 9 years and would probably be good at it againif I were to have a bit to refreshen my skills.

I don't know. I'm not other people. I'm usually pretty shy when I first meet someone but warm up easily. Personality wise, once you start getting to know me you'll notice that I am quite obscure... and by that I mean I am by NO means normal. I have an odd fascination with death sparked by my recovered anxiety disorder that was triggered by all things death related. I believe it is one of the reasons I am in the health care/medical field. I like a lot of music most people have never heard of. I also enjoy strange hobbies like modifying Barbie dolls. I tend to have a random mind leading me to have a random mouth. I blurt out nonsense at any hour, in every direction.

Books:

Anything by Hunter S. Thompson,Elizabeth Wurtzel, and George Orwell. Countless textbooks, medical and psychology interest me most. I have an ever growing collection.

Movies:

Pirates of the Caribbean 1,2, & 3, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Forbidden Zone, Stay, Fight Club, Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands, American Beauty, American History X, Gone With the Wind, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars, Juno, Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge, Clerks I & II, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jersey Girl, Dogma, Across the Universe, Rent... The Nightmare Before Christmas... okay so pretty much anything involving Tim Burton, Danny Elfman, Johnny Depp, or Kevin Smith.

Food:

Chinese! And I love fresh fruit, especially cherries, green apples, tomatoes, grapes, and kiwi. I adore cheese but can no longer partake in dairy as I've developed some sort of lactose intolerance. I am a fairly decent cook. I'm am kind of getting into more of an adventurous phase and would be willing to try anything short of seafood (I'm allergic to water-dwelling creatures).

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

1. My son and family - they mean the most to me and I could never ever do with out them. My son is absolutely the light of my life. I'd be lost without him.
2. Air - Mostly because I would suffocate... most of us already know that asphyxiation leads to death.
3. Water - Dehydration also leads to death.
4. Food = Calories = Energy = Body keeps on workin.
5. Sex - It seems like most aren't into or willing to admit loving sex. I am not one of them. I believe that without sex I would absolutely die.
6. Friends - They really go hand in hand with my family. They're like my extended family. They're the ones you can bitch about your biological family to when they piss you off :)

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

Life in general... I tend to over-analyze things and people. Not in a judgmental way... I'm very reflective. I spend a lot of time thinking about the future, my goals, dreams, wishes, and so on. Who doesn't? I spend a lot of time looking at what I call "house porn." It's not porn really, just real estate. I'm good for knowing the best areas, prices, and what not on the market. I don't ever want to be an estate agent, it's just kind of a strange interest.

And to be honest, I think about sex A LOT. I'm not a pervert, nor am I promiscuous, but I love sex and most things sexual. I like to flirt. I think that's a hobby of mine... I'm not sure.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

At home, but I'd like to get out more. Bi-weekly my Friday is spent getting prepared and resting up for Saturday. On Saturday's my husbands band has their practices and it usually turns out to be one huge ass party afterwards. In the summer we have bonfires in our backyard, cookouts, lots of singing, drinking, and just being merry. Sometimes we play games, there's always music, and a lot of talking and fun in general.

I'm willing to admit anything in private if you're good enough :P If you must know something now, well, when I'm nervous or angry I bite my nails. I have some self body image issues, nothing too severe. What female hasn't in her life I ask you?! :) I've had a very strange yet interesting life, and if you care to know, just ask.
