I am reticent, sardonic, and compassionate.
My Self-Summary
First, let's get this out of the way, I'm a big dude - 285 lbs. I
may get smaller, I may not. It's a struggle, I go up and down-it's
life long. There, I've said it, you can press your browser's back
button right now, I've saved you a little time, so you can move on
to someone more waifish, more gamine.
Other than that, I'm Cute 'n' Cuddly kinda guy...37, red hair,
bearded, brown eyes, moderately hirsute...shy, intelligent, witty,
articulate, warm hearted, very affectionate, and kindly-but also
has a sarcastic and sardonic side and cutting if the situation
requires it. Closet romantic who has many acquaintances, but few
true friends-a bit of a loner. Equally at home in denim as in black
tie-high or low culture. Left leaning, sometimes musician,
sometimes artist, sometimes actor and sometimes teacher. My
favorite way to spend a lazy Saturday is hanging out at my
local
coffee house
enjoying top notch brew, then hitting the used
bookstores/
thrift shops-then, more coffee
please. Looking to meet guys from here and there for fun,
friendship, or to just enjoy a nice cuppa or to take in a movie at
the Brattle or Coolidge with. I don't do the bars as much anymore
as I'm a little tired of the pod people-I prefer quality over
quantity where menfolk are concerned. Anyway, while bonus points go
to the local yokels, I'm always happy to chat and meet men from
hither and yon-especially those who might be coming to visit the
home of the bean and the cod. Also, I've been known to travel
myself, so if one's patient, I might end up in their neck of the
woods...

What I’m doing with my life
Pursuing various artistic outlets while trying to keep body and
soul together with a soul crushing day job on the phones at a
travel company serving moneyed retirees who've spend big money on
exotic packaged tours my company sells. This is where I landed
after I was kicked out of a 10 year career in the non-profit world,
I'm now kowtowing to pampered seniors in pampers.
I’m really good at
Amazing cook, people tell me I should go pro. I know that's the way
to impress people, with food, so I give it my all. My current
obsession is with
harissa. I give fantastic massages and
am a world class snuggler too. Of course, I'm sure this is totally
passé, but I can also knot a cherry stem with my tongue.
The first things people usually notice about me
My long red hair. People either love it or hate it. It is what it
is. If you like it, great. If you don't like it, move along. A
close second to that, my laugh, it's usually a loud guffaw.

Food: Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Eastern European, Japanese,
Thai, Chinese-just about any ethnic cuisine. I am an omnivore, and
dislike pretty much all seafood(yeah, God played a cruel trick on
me-having me born in one of the seafood capitals of the US...). In
addition I hate flavored coffee. I also loathe cilantro
The six things I could never do without
Art, Humor, Sex, Nature, Human Affection, Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can find a job that I love and don't just have to support my
other interests. Wondering how I was duped into selling my soul so
cheaply on Craigslist.
Freaking out about making inventory for the holiday store that I'm
a part of.
Currently obsessing with 110 photography. I have an old
Pentax 110 Auto
SLR that rocks my world.
Also, wondering why OkCupid thinks that all these Kinsey 2 bi men
are a good match for me when I'm not in the least bit girlish
(totally have an "outie" not an "innie".) NOTHING against bi men,
however. It just seems that OKCupid's algorithm sees fit that I'd
find happily ever after with a bi male that generally prefers
women. Does OK Cupid know something that I don't??
If you want to know whatelse I am thinking... of noble thoughts, of
gay and grave, you can glean them on

cite that very obscure reference-without Google.....)
On a typical Friday night I am
If it's running, I take a Friday night enameling class (nothing
like fusing hot glass to metal in a hot kiln!) If not, I'm staying
in-I usually have to be at work Saturday mornings :-(
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
ummm, great sex makes my hair curl. Also, I'm totally in love with
glow in the dark anything.
You should message me if
You are not a pod person, you like coffee, love to laugh
(preferably with and not at me), hate cilantro, enjoy conversation
either intelligent and/or saucy, looking for a pen pal, or looking
for someone in real time to share the aforementioned whatnots.
Message me if you're interested in chatting with me-because I can
guarantee you I'm probably too shy to message you. In addition to
OKCupid, I'm also on
AIM and
Yahoo as shaggycub, feel free to message
me.
