My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello. My name is Shalimar (not Grace, like most people assume), and I'm an alcoho...

Just kidding.

First off, writing a "self-summary " is kinda awkward for me. It's odd talking about myself. I told myself "Self, you'll never join a dating website" yet here I am. I guess I'm here to meet new people, since I have the tendency to be shy in person. Plus it's hard meeting people organically nowadays, so I figure why not?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next." Gilda Radner

I also want to do this:
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Having a good time? Laughing at myself. Laughing. Believing in people. Making kids smile. Accomplishing a full days work with lack of sleep. Quoting "Bridesmaids." Looking at your profile and not messaging you. Kind of like a ninja... except you can see me. Forgetting that I've looked at your profile already, clicking on it again, thus looking like a stalker.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A man who worked in a hospital lobby asked me if I was over 18. That being said I suppose I look like a 17 year old? INFP. Word on the site is that most people notice my eyes. The fact that I'm kinda quiet at first.

Movie soundtracks. Edward Scissorhands, Return to Oz(yes, that one movie that scared the hell out of everyone as a child), Amelie, Life is Beautiful, (500) Days of Summer, Hook = faves.

Pandora stations that I've been hooked on as of late- Death Cab For Cutie, Sam Cooke, Devotchka, Kanye, Macklemore, Beirut, Edith Piaf, Vitamin String Quartet, She & Him

The Office, Entourage, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, I Love Lucy, Will and Grace, Friends, Pushing Daisies (r.i.p.), Mad Men, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Smash, Mindy Project, New Girl, Orange is the New Black, documentaries. Currently binge watching through Parks and Rec.

Where can I say that I love improv shows? Here!

Food- Yes. Oh, I don't like olives though, gross. You can have my olives if you want. And I'm a recent pescetarian. I know, I'm so L.A. Now pass me a coconut water.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) laughter
2.) music
3.) sunglasses
4.) lotion (moisturize!)
5.) books
6.) love
7.) chocolate

The list said things, not faith, family, or friends.. which of course I would choose if the question would have asked to do so. I kinda cheated. Oops.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why most guys on this site:
have a picture of themselves rock climbing
say they are "easy-going" and are "drama free" (if you ask me, saying you are drama free probably means the opposite.)

how many boyfriends I would have if my gay friends went straight, because apparently the gays dig me.

Oh, and the future.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends really. Sometimes I go out. Sometimes I like to stay at home with a book. Or I swing dance.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I like reading the captions on peoples pictures.

You have a good sense of humor and can handle sarcasm, you have Jim Halpert qualities, you knew what that last reference was, you listed something other than "friends and/or family" in your six things I could never do without section, you love jazz music and flea markets, you know the difference between there, they're and their, you're a confident person, you love to laugh, you enjoy "that's what she said" moments, you wont judge me and my social norm clock that is completely off schedule, you proofread your messages, you do NOT have pictures of you purposely lifting up your shirt to show off your abs, guys with a high enemy % (kidding, but that would make for an interesting conversation), you enjoy the simple things in life, and our dates can look like this:
(minus Lionel, although that would be exciting)

I tend to gravitate towards people in the arts, creative minds and such.

*I also don't live in Los Angeles. I live in the outskirts, still in the LA county though. I know distance can play a huge factor so... keep that in mind. But who really thinks they're gonna meet "the one" 10 miles away from them? Because frankly, I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more. Just to... kthanksbye."
