My self-summary
Hmmm, how to write one of these things without sounding unbearably pretentious...

I'm just as interested in learning about other people as I am in talking about my own interests.

I think there's definitely a place for hedonism and drunken debauchery, but I'm usually more at ease spending time with interesting people and having conversations that I won't forget a day later, perhaps after having smoked funny-smelling cigarettes.

I think it's essential to have a healthy sense of humor about life; people who take things too seriously will probably be offended by my caustic sense of humor.

I'm glad I was able to write this self-summary without resorting to banal statements such as "I like to have fun." And I didn't use the word "quirky" once.
What I’m doing with my life
-Adjusting to the post-college world as a recovering English/Poli Sci double major

-Hammering away at my blog: http://www.flatironhotnews.com/

-Freelance writing for Entrepreneur Mag and Indie Shuffle

-Listening to and writing about music

-Skiing

-Reading/writing/talking politics (my views are mostly in accordance with my liberal NYC upbringing, so I should probably meet the artsy, vegan litmus test)

-Composing music
