With books, anything written by Neil Gaiman. Or books that never fail to inspire, written with style, and illustrated with flair,those such books written by Shel Silverstein, Dr. Seuss,Maurice Sendak, and Eric Carle.
Movies, I would have to say Boondock Saints, Equilibrium, anything with Will Ferrell in it, except Bewitched, that was just a tragedy. Also A Bronx Tale, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Chocolate(the kung fu flick, not the movie that Johnny Depp was in, but I do love all the movies that Johnny Depp is in),Mirror Mask,any Mel Brooks movie,any Kevin Smith movie, any Tim Burton movie,Big Fish,Pan's Labyrinth, Zoolander,Rushmore, the whole Back to the Future Trilogy, The Goonies, Amelie, 50 first Dates... the list goes on and on.
