I am Cuban originally, drive a Prius, and like computers.

My Self-Summary

I like cats and own the 2 best ones, Yoda and Felicity. I work in a gov office assembling publications. I spend a lot of my money on gizmos/gadgets like iPods and digital cameras. I am pretty much Americanized though I was born in Cuba. I don't speak Spanish very well now but I still love Cuban food and like Cuban music. I used to spend a lot to get top of the line computers but lately you can get good machines for not very much so I'm more a high-end computer animal. Still, have never bought a killer Alienware machine though...

I visit DailyKos a lot and Democratic Underground and similar democrat sites, but I'm not very politically active.

What I’m doing with my life

Just doing my job, making money and playing lots of blitz chess on the internet.

I've tried to make a working magnet motor but nothing has worked. I'm skeptical of the Minota device, my efforts to replicate it have not worked.

I am learning an amazing amount of off-the-wall stuff from the internet by hanging out on sites like www.reddit.com and www.digg.com.

I keep my relatives in hand-me-down computers by buying new computers fairly often.

I’m really good at

Chess, lately blitz crazyhouse chess on the Internet. A lot of folks regard me as knowing a lot about computers and the internet, but there is so much out there, I cannot declare myself an expert.

I have a B.S. in Physics but my gainful employment has always been due to my computer skills and flexibility in demanding environments.

I sometimes notice things that others don't, particularly hidden/subtle visual things. I cannot consciously see auras and such but sometimes I find myself looking at subtle things and reacting/responding. It's more like if someone else around can see or sense auras, it strengthens my sense of them as well.

I remember in a class back in college there was this beautiful girl that sat in front of me and I found that I would tune in to her some and she would respond, probably without being fully aware of what she was responding to.

I believe that all human beings are telepathic to some degree but our culture -- and enculturation-- tunes it out.

The first things people usually notice about me

Not sure.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I just finished the last Harry Potter a few weeks back. I've read Tolkien and C.S. Lewis's chronicles of Narnia and notice there are similarities. I have read a lot of Sci-Fi and also most of Grisham's books. On tv I like Stargate, Dead Like Me, and much of the Sci-Fi channel fare. I also like a lot of the Anime I find on "Adult Swim" -- I have to say that Fooly-Cooly is just amazingly strange and imaginative. I'm waiting for the latest Shrek to come out on DVD. I like Cuban food a lot, but also just plain meat & potatoes, sandwiches, etc.

I used to really like the creative melodic electronic sound of Yes but lately it doesn't sound as good to me. I like classical some, mostly Mozart and some pop.

I like the Bleach anime cartoon and some others, but they sure get complicated fast.

I find myself a believer in Zecharia Sitchin's books and ideas. I would like to meet Grandfather Enki. It's very likely that he is still alive. I can't imagine that there would be anyone as extraordinary and unique as Enki. Ninurta would also be interesting. Very gutsy of him, going up against Anzu with such a disadvantage... and winning! I wonder if they're coming back.

The six things I could never do without

My car, the internet, my cats, food, water, shelter... probably in that order...

I'm very glad that SCOX is biting the dust and that Ubuntu is becoming more popular. I used to visit www.groklaw.net regularly but now only go when something interesting happens. Still, I have not migrated to a Linux yet.

I like the Inquirer but don't understand most of the articles http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx

For a time I was browsing in Firefox exclusively, now I usually run several instances of Firefox and Safari. Safari is not very customizable but it is very very fast -- faster than Firefox and faster than IE.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The consciousness of the quantum vacuum, the clear light, God, truth, philosophy, gas mileage

My favorite mantras are "Hari Om" and "Om Ah Hum" -- but I don't practice very much lately.

On a typical Friday night I am

Playing in the online blitz crazyhouse chess tournaments at the Internet Chess Club. chess

www.chessclub.com

I've won the tournament series often and have won so many membership extensions my expiration date on ICC is in 2009.

I also play on FICS www.freechess.com
