I am funky, cold, and medina.

My Self-Summary

Five Mostly Unrelated Things About Me:
1. I love hockey, but am deathly afraid of ice skating. Maybe this will be the year that I change that, but it's pretty unlikely.
2. My five-year goals may consist entirely of owning a dog. That’s not to say I’m not ambitious. I just haven’t figured out where I’m channeling my energy. But I’m 100% sure I want a dog.
3. I do stupid things to impress people, like bake three-layer cakes with whiskey ganache frosting. Please have a sweet tooth and a sense of humor; sometimes I set stuff on fire by accident.
4. I love random adventures. I am irrepressible and generally up for anything at least once, but I need an enabler. I’m looking for spontaneity and a willingness to go along for the ride. Just say yes and try to have fun. If you have good ideas and need a partner in crime and/or wackiness, I’m your girl.
5. I’m terribly opinionated and sassy, but I'll probably make you laugh, so that's okay, right? Right.

I’m really good at

balancing things on my head. meeting fascinating people. walking into walls. baking absurdist desserts. driving long distances. riding horses. wrangling alpacas. walking past street lamps and having them turn off. finding parking. entertaining.

The first things people usually notice about me

My laugh. Mine is an evil laugh.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Good Omens, American Gods, Diary of an Unlikely Call Girl, My Family and Other Animals, Walk In the Woods... really, anything by Gerald Durrell, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Bill Bryson, or Laurie R. King.

TV: 30 Rock, Glee, Modern Family, Sons of Anarchy, Burn Notice
Past TV Loves: Arrested Development, The Black Donnellys, Firefly, Pinky and the Brain, Clone High

Music: Country. Indie. Indie country. Classic rock. I'm actually not much of a music person - I don't understand what the fuss is all about. I only care about music insofar as it reminds me of places I've been and people I've known.

The six things I could never do without

- cute animals, with or without captions
- my car, cause where else would I sing?
- access to green spaces
- laundry machines
- coffee, sadly
- warm socks

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How to fit EVEN MORE into my life. Not because I feel empty but because there are so many things I want to know how to do and so many people I want to talk to. My list of Classes to Take/Things to Learn include riding a motorcycle, krav maga, , and accounting - and that's only the subject areas I can think of without looking at the actual list.

I spend a lot of time thinking about lists.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm still not 100% convinced I won't be a unicorn when I grow up.
