"-One Direction Lyrics-"

"Wow, cool makeup! I bet your A MONSTER in BED"

"I bet you've got some ideas about this. (Attached an image of a middle aged man wearing nothing but a cheap devil Halloween mask)"

I read, write, draw, paint, watch horror movies (good or awful), create monsters with make-up, cook, sing karaoke, bowl, and generally cause mischief and shenanigans. I geocache and I love playing in the woods at night. I'm from Ohio, where that's a little more normal I think.

I never make silly duck faces in pictures; if my lips look pursed, the magic you're being hit with is the Blue Steel.

I like games and superheroes and zombies and rpg, tabletop or otherwise.

I work on costumes and cosplays with my bestie and we speak at occasional panels at conventions.

I like doing things, and I mean basically anything. I mean going to a new place for drinks, wandering aimlessly around the city, going on adventures. I don't like sitting on the couch very much.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently working at a customer experience firm as a Czar of First Impressions; I maintain everything office-life-related and yell at everyone about typos.

Also focusing a lot on building my makeup portfolio, so I've been working on a lot of shoots and planning a lot of special effects makeup.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
special fx make-up. Seriously, I love doing it, and I tend to rope my friends into letting me make them up, so you can't be afraid of a little eyeliner and fake blood.

I was first chair clarinet player in eighth grade, which means I was really damn good and that I'm a giant nerd, but I can also play some guitar, so it maybe balances out?

I'm a pretty ballin' cook if I do say so myself.

I will beat anyone - ANYONE - at Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Possibly even Tony Hawk himself.

I am great at catching popcorn with my mouth when no one is looking.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am generally having an awesome time?

I have had quite a few people, entirely unrelated, say that I have perfect eyebrows. Go figure.

I love anything horror related, rock related, and as for food, I love to try new things.

The Genetic Opera, Ginger Snaps, Silent Hill, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Crow, Interview with a Vampire, Moulin Rouge, Murder Party, The Orphanage, Don't Look in the Basement, Birdemic, The Room, anything MST3Ked or RiffTraxed. Classic horror movies are some of my favorite; eg The Night of The Living Dead, The Wolfman, Buckets of Blood.

Books: Chuck Palahnuik, Edgar Alan Poe, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Neil Gaiman, Christopher Moore. I read a lot of embarrassing YA fiction, but don't really talk about it, so don't worry.

Music: Classic rock, hard rock, soft rock. Weezer, Panic! at the Disco, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Say Anything, the Beatles, Jason Webley, Voltaire, Alabama 3, NIN, Tool, Flogging Molly, Tom Waits, Cake, old school Green Day, The Ramones, My Chemical Romance, David Bowie, KMFDM, CombiChrist, Blink 182, Ok Go, Flight of the Conchords, the Front Bottoms, the So So Glos

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Adventures.
2. My Kindle
3. Time to write or sketch
4. Netflix.
5. Tie: A blanket/my stupid cat Blanket.
6. Cholula.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
EVERYTHING. Sometimes I can't sleep at night because my brain won't turn off.

I entertain ridiculous notions and write stories in my head that are usually really exciting until I forget about them.

I think a lot about how people act. I people watch a lot, and I think it's very interesting how people will completely block out people around them in favor of their phone or whatever, or at least pretend to, but if they, for example, see a friend, they bloom into a personality. It's like you don't really know anything at all about a person until you see them with their friends, and anyone with a strong personality when they're on their own is a crazy person.

Why for some reason I have seen three (UPDATE: 4!) grown men masturbating in Center City in three (4!) entirely different circumstances when friends who have lived here their whole life have never seen one.

When watching a horror movie or show, or going through a haunted house (which might be startlingly frequent), I am judging the make-up effects and props.

Designing and planning haunted houses (that will probably never actually exist.)

What my next makeup or prosthetic effect is going to be, or my next costume.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
When I'm out, I'm making friends with the bartenders (who I think are amazingly interesting people most of the time) and drinking beers or girlie drinks or whatever's the special. Sometimes I dance.

When I'm home, I'm either watching something with friends and/or cooking, or sitting quietly reading or writing or drawing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get very very excited about the most trivial of things. Like if I'm watching tv and they make a Buffy reference.

I was on a reality tv show where I hunted ghosts. It aired on SyFy and everything, so it's official!

I swear a lot?
