My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
like the beach, volleyball, anything outdoors. would like to travel more, near and afar. likes casual social events. likes to entertain, conversations with lots of laughter. wants to live a simpler, practical and easily maintained life. don't consider myself to be a "compete with the Jones" type of person. I like simple things and getting back to the basics. having friends over, good background music, cooking and eating with close friends would be a high point of my week. doesn't like what seems to be ever dwindling time spent with friends and family due to work and other responsibilities. with that, doesn't mind planning and getting people together, always worth the effort, regardless of the coordinating of events that gather good people for good times. i spend a great deal of time with my daughter and integrate her in pretty much all the above aforementioned. i teach her, she teaches me, we appear to be a great team and getting better.

looking for someone to spend time chatting, laughing and sharing big or small moments with. what, if anything, more that may come out of that, we'll see.

I have had a fun past prior to having my daughter working and traveling. got to work in Sydney as well as San Diego and traveled a bit in both areas (best bungy jumping is in Queenstown, New Zealand for the record). I got to check out Sao Miguel, my dad's homeland, with my mom which was awesome and could see myself traveling a bit more. Recent years would suggest that could be something that is missing in my life right now. I recommend everyone get away once in a while to see other sides of life, keeps you grounded and less judgmental I think.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
taking a breather, forward thinking for a better next 5-10 years. recently got out of software market in defense sector trying not to get sucked back into that. trying to make way and/or own business in more of a sustainable living market
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
speaking my mind, persistence and telling detailed stories... maybe too detailed according to my friends. Also, seeing the trees through the forest on many fronts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
i've been told my eyes... but not sure, I don't really look at myself that way. that said, people say I am colorful and animated, so yeah, that one instead.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
cuddling/dancing/beautiful conversation/ with my daughter

the ocean and my garden

a good coffee/beer/scotch

quiet nights on the porch

cramp-inducing laughter with family/friends

human interaction
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
my next few years and my daughter's future, how to best integrate what used to be a simpler lifestyle with today's world of technology and information overload.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
taking a breather or maybe kicking back with good company, whether that be on the porch, around a fire or watching a playoff game at a local pub, must be playoffs though as I am not that much into the sports marketing
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I find it amusing when someone apologizes after advertising anything about masturbation, I mean, really... what's there to be sorry about. ok, not really something private but this section is sort of lame

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you are a free thinker, forward looker and tend to side and get along better with kids... after all, that is when we are our purest and least polluted, excellent source of self-reflection
