My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ehh...I know it's cliche' but I'm really very bad at this. I think if I could sum up who I am in a paragraph on a dating website then I should probably be reevaluating my life and not be trying to date someone. With that said, if you want to know anything about me feel free to ask. I will say this though, I feel that I'm a kind, genuine person. I care deeply for people, even when I don't want to/they don't deserve it. I have a thirst for knowledge that seems to be unquenchable and I love to teach people about new things they didn't know. I'm odd, a king of useless knowledge, kind of old fashioned, sickeningly polite at times but I can be bold. I have a lot of different interests that usually fall on the fringe although I surprise people by liking some pretty mainstream stuff (like when I became a Jersey Shore junkie for a while and bought, yes bought as in purchased, both of Lady Gaga's first two albums). I'm also full of contradictions. I'm a veteran but I'm heavily anti-gun and I get sick when I see someone wearing fur but I eat meat. Anyway, there's a lot more but I think it'd be better presented in actual conversation. Oh yeah and my profile pic is about nine months old. I'll try to have a new one up soon. :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Going to school and working. My plan is to be a middle school social studies teacher.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing. I love writing poetry and short stories and I was a journalist in the Marine Corps for a few years.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My voice. I've been told it doesn't match my appearance which is usually followed by "you're not from around here are you?" Apparently I sound like I'm from California, because I have a slight "surfer tone" to my voice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm kind of a pop culture whore. To sum it up, if it's historical or written by Bukowski I'll read it, if it's British, Sci-fi or has anything to do with vikings, I'll watch it (Kind of a Doctor Who geek) and if it's got depth and/or a unique sound I'll listen to it. That hardly sums up my tastes. I guess if you're interested you'll just have to ask. And when it comes to food I seriously will eat anything. It's a wonder I'm so skinny.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Hugs (my reason for living)
2. The Beatles (they've gotten me through some tough times)
3. Ignorant /well-informed people (sounds weird I know, but I love to debate)
4. Swedish Indie Bands (they're just so cute and cuddly. I love them)
5. At least one Superman T-shirt (It's the closest thing I have to a religion.)
6. Cheetos
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. So much so that I lose sight of the present sometimes. I really, really want to travel. I have a thing for Scandinavia and Britain and would love to live in either Sweden or England one day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Most likely at work or at someone's house falling asleep because I'm tired from work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
....I'm a closet trekkie. Sorry George, I've shamed you. :'(
Oh, and I'm not sure I should say this but I will, I listen to ABBA every morning when I wake up. It's cheesy yes, but it puts me in a damn good mood. Sorry if that's too weird for you. :-/
