I am pretty down to earth, and revel in the simple things like good conversation and good scenery. I am an intuitive thinker, I like to observe and analyze, to read people. I am a bit ridiculous, but in the best way I assure you. I have an easy laugh and find humor and the silver lining in everything

I am currently in a Masters program which is the first of it's kind but what it boils down to is community development for the urban poor. The program has brought me to Quezon City, Philippines where I live in an urban poor community with some truly beautiful people.

I will be back Stateside soon enough once I am finished with the program. 3 months left...the countdown has begun.

After that, well...who knows? An NGO? State department? United Nations? I am unsure of the specific path but I do know I want to effect change into systems that mitigate oppression. I'm not someone who sees the boogeyman behind institutions, but I do recognize that we can create a far better world out there for many more people if we change the systems we find ourselves in.

I'd like to think I'm good at many things, evidence might suggest otherwise. But how about we say the things I'd like to be good at and perhaps dabble in...basketball, cooking, backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, reading, computers, travel, giving advice, listening, reading people, deep conversation, asking the tough questions...and I'm sure a few more things I can't seem to recall right now.

I'd like to think my generous laugh.

I do like fantasy, I will admit it. There's something about letting my mind be completely free and lost amidst someone else's creativity that I love about it. But I do enjoy all genres to be honest.

I love movies, the good, the bad, they all have a time and place. I have a rather extensive and still growing movie collection, there is something about movies that just satisfies my lust for creativity, imagination and storytelling.

I have rather eclectic music tastes but some of my favorites includes Taylor Swift, Daughtry, Paramore, anything from John Williams, Cirque du Soleil, AJ Rafael, David Choi, Gabe Bondoc, Hyuna, Us and various others. Though often I fall for a song not a band.

I love ethnic food. mmm...sushi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Mexican, Italian and many more. I love eating, there is nothing more fun than going out with a friend to a new restaurant and trying something new. Current obsession is Banh Mi a Vietnamese style sandwich and Bakso an Indonesian soup.

TV shows: Arrested Development, Mentalist, House MD, Castle, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Community, Covert Affairs, White Collar, Leverage.

Good friends, good food, travel, deep conversation, adventure and family.

World domination...I mean travel :) I have a severe case of wanderlust and it simply cannot be ignored.

Usually with friends. But since I landed in the Philippines it's spending time with my community, with friends or doing massive amounts of homework.
