East coast transplant and former army brat. I moved out to California after graduation and after a rather large culture shock, am settling in quite nicely. I'm a Boston girl at heart, though, and still miss thunderstorms, snow, and Fenway Park.
I'm really laid back and have a warm, sarcastic sense of humor. I like to laugh. I also skip from topic to topic so it's important that people can keep up, or at least smile and nod while I wave my hands about and spout facts and debate politics or who the best X-Man is (the answer being Gambit and/or Rogue).
I work a bit with children sometimes thanks to my job (though not enough), and I use my sophisticated comic book knowledge to impress them enough to listen to me for a bit. I love classic Saturday morning cartoons, Marvel superheros and Disney. I sketch a lot--I taught myself how to draw anime when I was going through a really big phase in high school and I've been doing it ever since. I also sing a lot when I'm bored or stressed. This also gets children to listen to me sometimes. Sometimes people ask me to sing for them at weddings and the like. I don't know why.
I'm spontaneous and am still exploring LA but I do love to walk, hike, and try and figure out the public transport here (which is borderline horrendous but somehow more fun for it). I adore amusement parks and have a huge soft spot for Disney. Have I said that enough?
I'm just really passionate about a lot of things: music, history, fracking, politics (!!), off shore drilling, human rights, Batman vs. Superman. I try not to be boring. I like learning new things as well, i.e. new language, hula dancing.
I still believe in fairy tales and happy endings, though I've never been too big of a damsel in distress.
