I am smart, funny, and fiercely dignified.
I like guys with long hair and I'm a sucker for blue eyes. I also like nerds, poets, artists, and musicians but none of those is a requirement. Brilliance, however, is.
I'm a pretty big nerd]. I also read, write, and love poetry. Reading, writing, movies, and music are big parts of who I am. I am a big fan of nature, mountains, and wide-open spaces. I honestly despise televised sports, and am not going to pretend to like them. I rarely watch TV at all, though I can occasionally get into a decent crime drama.
I tend toward cynicism in an ironic/amused sort of way, have a strange/confused relationship with God (the Christian God, that is- though for the record, I'm extremely tolerant of people with different viewpoints and am not adverse to dating someone with different beliefs), and am VERY into knowledge.
I like cooking, eating, and singing. I am passionate about a laundry list of things from politics to music. I also like to argue/debate (but not fight). I have an awesome, if cynical (and/or slightly off-colour, and/or just plain odd) sense of humour and am at my best when making someone laugh. I love animals and am a magnet for stray cats. (And the occasional stray dog, too.)
At my most basic, I am my own person. I think and believe what I know is right without apologizing for it. I'm looking for something above average in a depressingly below-average world.

Job-hunting, trying to get back in school. Learning as much as I can about as much as I can. Waiting for what's next.

Being different. Not to be arrogant (this question somewhat requires one to be arrogant, doesn't it?) but I've been told I'm also good at: singing, writing poetry, dressing well, cooking, faking accents (particularly European), trivia, sexual innuendo (in a humorous way), making jokes, and puns. Also, I will kick your ass at rummy.

I have crazy-curly hair that I've given up on, and more than likely, a bemused expression on my face.

Though I usually try hard not to be, I can be exceptionally dark and cynical.
And I don't hook up. At all. Ever.
