My Self-Summary

I live in Cork, which is actually the secret center of the Universe. I'm 30, which is fine, honest. I'm doing Biochem in UCC. First year isn't exactly challenging, but there's a lot of the unchallenging stuff to do. Ultimate aim is to teach science and maths in secondary school.

I read a LOT. I'm mostly into books on science and totally out there escapism (fun books). I like to run and swim - although I am occasionally a lazy bastard, despite the fact that I live within a minutes walk of the gym. I'm trying to learn to dance, but I haven't settled on a type yet. Swing is the current favourite. Between college and friends and beers, life is busy and good.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now college is consuming most of my time. My course is somewhere in the region of 30 hours a week, plus study and homework. Somehow I manage to find time to get drunk and go dancing, but not as often as I'd like. Oh, the humanity.

I’m really good at

People say I'm a good listener, usually when I pause to take a breath. I'm really interested in science - whether I'm good at it or not remains to be seen. Hopefully I'll invent the new velcro after a year or two of study and spend the rest of my life following the summer around the globe. I'm good at second impressions.

I smile a lot :) If there's music on, I'm probably dancing - or pestering my friends to come dancing.

These days I'm in more often than out, which is a pity, but needs must. If I'm out, I'm almost certainly in a pub/club although it's not unheard of to go see a movie.
