I am curious, clothed, and curmudgeonly.

My Self-Summary

I'm a journalist, at least for now. But the blogosphere seems to have come to a consensus that we're going the way of the Dodo, so I'm trying to get all the journalisting in that I can journalist until there's no journalisting left to do. Um, what else? I can tell you why Miller Lite is a crappy beer, beyond, ya know, the obvious. Along with its bottom-feeding, domestic lager-y counterparts. I like good food and can cook a little if Alton Brown tells me how. I also enjoy abruptly cutting off in mid .......

What I’m doing with my life

Examining my purpose in the cosmos. And eating Chee-Tos.

I’m really good at

Writing (allegedly), figuring out random stuff to do, not texting my friends, which drives them crazy, getting outside, debating, golf (relatively speaking, to most idiots who play), finding good places to eat/drink, and I'm not bad at cooking, though I definitely wouldn't go with "really good." Wouldn't want to raise expectations too much.

The first things people usually notice about me

You should probably ask these mysterious "people" about that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm notoriously poor at creating time to read books, which probably makes me a truly bad person.

Movies: Casablanca, Rear Window, Eternal Sunshine, Double Indemnity, Godfather, Fight Club, Ocean's Eleven, North By Northwest, To Have and Have Not, The Big Sleep, Pulp Fiction, Big Lebowski, Fargo, Fletch, Pi, 39 Steps, Magnolia, Office Space, etc., etc., etc.

Food: Isn't this the type of question they ask you in third grade, and everybody draws a slice of pepperoni pizza on a piece of colored construction paper? Wait ... you got any construction paper? I guess my answer is I'll try anything once. And then I'll probably try it one more time. Don't like ketchup or mayo. Pickles are growing on me.

The six things I could never do without

Computer, car (at least, not here), functioning lungs, photosynthesis, ozone layer, tectonic plates.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What to write in this spot.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working. Yes, I'm wild.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Puppies are cute.

You should message me if

... you think you're not too far out of my league.
