My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Looking for a needle in a haystack....a good communicator who wants to know as much about me as I do him. Someone who asks questions but also listens well.
You want to talk music? I'm your girl- rock & roll girl through and through.

Ok i'll admit I'm a bit gun shy when it comes to being on here. It happens!

Here's a little bit about me, even though it feels weird talking about myself (I'd rather hear about you)
I've lived in Atlanta since the end of 1997, with a 5 year break from 2006-2011 when I moved to Boston, it's so great to be back in Atlanta! I have lived in many different parts of the country:
Rochester (grew up there until age 13), NY
Tupelo, MS (age 13 to college)
South Bend, IN (college)
Chicago, IL (1994-1997)
Atlanta (1997-2006)
Boston (2006-2011)
Atlanta (2011- present)
That's a lot, I know! But I wanted to put it out there- I can adapt to just about anything because of this.

I'm a person who sees the glass half-full, I'm very young at heart (I'm in my 40s but friends tell me I don't look it or act like it), and I find joy in helping others. I am the youngest of 4 kids- my parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. I'm very close to my family- they're extremely important to me.

My true passion is music, I'm a rock & roll girl through and through. I can play drums, guitar and sing- not necessarily fantastic at all, but I try. It's a lot of fun. I love to travel to see my favorite bands- you get to see great music and get to be adventurous at the same time.
I also love running - did my first 1/2 marathon this past November in Ft Benning, but it can be a love/hate relationship at times. I'm not a "natural" runner and have to work very hard at it. But - very rewarding!

Baseball is my favorite sport with football right behind it. The Boston Red Sox are my team in terms of baseball- bring on Memorial Day weekend in Atlanta!

Now- I want to hear about you. I'm looking for a good man who loves to laugh, has a good head on his shoulders & has good values. But, at the same time- knows how to have a good time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in Human Resources, and have been in the same field for almost 20 years- I love what I do, but it doesn't define me. If I won the lottery tomorrow, you bet I'd be retiring!

On the side, I have my own music blog- I love to write.

Note: I have a good job, a good head on my shoulders, and I'm looking for a guy who is the same way. If you're not a gentleman, please move to the next profile. If you're looking for a sugarmama- move right along! :) ok cool thanks. Had to get that off my chest.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Music Trivia, writing (I have my own music blog), planning parties & gatherings with friends, and just being an all around positive person- life is too short to be negative. I can do a mean air-guitar if you're looking for a good laugh.
I also love to cook & finding good wine/beer to drink....but I don't know if I'm necessarily "good" at that. I'm working on it though. Drumming also!!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile, because I smile A LOT. It comes natural to me.

Favorite Music: It's my passion! Favorite bands include the Rolling Stones, The Who, Blind Melon, Ween, Jackie Greene, The Clash, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Jane's Addiction, White Stripes (and everything Jack White), The Black Crowes, Phish, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, The Drive-By Truckers, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, the list is long, let's just put it that way.
Cameron Crowe is one of my heroes, he's an amazing writer, and I love his passion for music.
I have been playing the drums on and off for the last year-and plan to continue.

Favorite TV Shows: Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, Dexter, Parenthood, True Blood, Californication, and Shameless.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good food & wine
Family & Friends
My Favorite Blanket
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What live shows are coming up, music, music, music, getting my music blog up and running on its own domain- and how I'm going to sell my homemade salsa out of my house.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends. I'm either hanging out at home relaxing (especially if my work week was nuts), out with friends for dinner & drinks- or, at a rock show!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ummmmmm...not really private, but I was at the final Grateful Dead show, which was really sad. Jerry died exactly a month later- he is so missed!

I also really want to see Iron Maiden live outside the US. And Eric Clapton (at Royal Albert Hall)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you are looking for your other half and want a relationship.

I'm looking for a man who loves music as much as me, who loves to travel- and was raised with good values!! Make me laugh :)

You should NOT message me if you are full of BS and fit one or more of the following (come on, laugh!):

- You are still not over your ex-girlfriend or your ex-wife.

- If you're in your 20's and looking for a cougar. The emails are getting old. Move along- I'm looking for a serious relationship.

- If you're not willing to write me an actual message. You'd be surprised the amount of messages that just say "hey"- that's just plain lazy, and not appreciated.

Guys, fill your details out! If you don't have any details about yourself or a picture- that is a red flag that you're probably married and have something to hide ;)

I am seriously looking for my other half and am looking to settle down. If you are too, message me, let's see where this goes!
