I’m 25 and I’m starting to get my life on track, but having fun
along the way :) When I can't find an excuse to be out and about
without breaking my budget, I tend to be at home watching Buffy,
Leverage, Doctor Who, or the Office while I’m working on some craft
or playing an old video game.
What I’m doing with my life
I've got a decent job, but I'm going back to school, always
striving for better health, and having as much fun as I possibly
can while still being a little responsible.
I also keep trying to read (mostly my fantasy books...) and keep up
with my crafts (I have at least a half dozen works in progress) and
keep up with my (largely fantasy/comedy based) tv shows.
I’m really good at
crocheting, needlepoint, remembering what I read, pulling out
random historical factoids about sex when conversation runs low.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would like to think my face, but honestly, it's probably my bum.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors: Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman, Alison Croggon, Diana
Wynne Jones, Tamora Pierce, JRR Tolkien, Douglas Adams, David
Webber, Mercedes Lackey, myriad others.
Favorite Movies: The Producers, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy,
Alice, Mr. Bean, Hair Spray, Iron Man, The Secret of Moonacre,Iron
Man, Repo the Genetic Opera, Sense and Sensibility, Enchantment,
Doubt, and oh so many others. Cute, comedies, musicals, geeky:
there's not much I'm picky about with movies except action flicks.
I can only take those in moderate doses.
Favorite TV shows: Doctor Who, Supernatural, Once Upon, Xena,
Hercules, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Guy, South Park, The
Daily Show/ The Colbert Report, Bones, Hell's Kitchen, Parks and
Recreation, The Office, Sherlock, SNL, Smash, etc. Am I the only
one super excited that Dexter's Lab and Power Puff Girls are on
My taste in music is all over the place, from classic rock and hair
metal to indie rock to EDM. So now that I'm looking at it, I guess
if it doesn't have a guitar and drums or electronic music, I'm
probably not interested? Just don't talk to me about rap or
country. I'm currently obsessed Icona Pop's "I Don't Care". Also,
forever in love with Florence + the Machine.
I like my meats and veggies :) But not sea food. Especially not
shell fish. You've got to fry that stuff beyond all recognition!
The six things I could never do without
Aside from the things physically needed for survival:
Something fun to do
Someone fun to do fun things with
My feather pillow
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Books/shows that I'm really into (I totally mary jane them), what
craft I'm going to stop putting off, what I'm going to do next,
making plans that I'll only follow through 2/3 of the way
On a typical Friday night I am
Out dancing anywhere I can find with music that's good enough,
working on a craft, spending time with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have developed a weakness for Britney Spears. This may seriously
may be my deepest shame. I take that back, I own this love now.
You should message me if
You want to go on an adventure. You want to talk about something
really fascinating and possibly intelligent, or, better yet, you
want to have a conversation that makes no sense. You want to geek
out over something I also like, or want to recommend something you
think I might like, your health is important to you.
