Movies: Yikes, its a hard question because it is so big. I'll just say that I am a big Miyazaki fan, I like unexpected independent films, the Cohen Brothers, Hitcock, Charlie Chaplin and Lord Help me Quentin Tarantino,
Music: With the advent of MP3's, like everyone else out there I listen to music played in random order on an electronic device. half the stuff on there I have never even listened to. It spans many genres, from Bach, Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, The Orb, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Guy, Beethoven, Ali Farka Toure, The Cure, Miles Davis, Buena Vista Social Club, Gorillaz, Portishead, They Might Be Giants and on and on. Pretty much the only thing I dont have is Country. I used to believe that the music one listens to is a window into their soul. Now, I no longer have a musical Identity. If I find good music, I will listen to it, no matter where it came from.
And because we are living in the future, will also add that I do not watch TV, and am a big podcast listener. I regularly or at least sporadically listen to: Welcome To Night Vale, The Accidental Creative, Savage Love, Radiolab, This American life, Robots, Brain Science, Brain Stuff, Science Friday, Planet money, TWIT, BBC documentaries, Left Right and Center, Rachel Maddow, Its All Politics (RIP), Intelligence^2 debates, The Economist, Hacker Public Radio, Wait Wait Dont Tell Me, and Radio Times among others.
Helium though, Meh. Stopped being funny long ago.
