I am enigmatic, an utter catastrophe, and an oxymoron.
My Self-Summary
After a year long stint of the Trifecta of Doom (Graduate School,
Culinary School, and Work) I have just recently completed grad and
culinary school and am now just working. I suddenly have time to
have a life again. I love to be super independent but have realized
that I would love to enjoy this Chicago summer exploring the city
with a partner in crime. Looking for someone that would be
interested in joining me for any or all of the following adventures
- checking out all sorts of random music, movies, bike rides,
baseball, restaurants, parks, brunch, camping, picnics, whiffle
ball games, board game nights, random dive bars that I have never
been to, the "members only" bar by my house that I am curious to
check out because I dont even know what it is but have determined
checking out places like that is usually more fun with others
......
Other random things about me...
I will gladly bake or cook at any hour of the night. Especially if
I have people to cook for.
I like to be 5 and 60 all at the same time.
I say Argh. Bah. Bubbles. Oy and Grrr....and depending on my mood
they all might mean many different things.
Music still gets to me in everyway and I have a huge love for all
movies both bad and good.
I sometimes rock a business suit and heels and other times rock
pigtails and glitter and firmly believe that both are a huge part
of who I am.
I am a little bit nerdy, goofy, serious, put-together, awkward,
professional, and a whole lot of passion rolled up into one.
What I’m doing with my life
Taking a moment to celebrate graduation from graduate school and
culinary school.
Working on getting my thesis published..
Playing and working...working and playing.
Bringing back the 1/2 birthday.
I’m really good at
Staying up all night
Being goofy and completly serious at the same time.
The first things people usually notice about me
my smile or the face that I am not meaning to make but that I am
making anyway. Opps
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books - Franny and Zoey and a whole lot of cooking, nutrition, and
psychology books for school
Movies - Harold and Maude, Twin Peaks episodes, Goonies, Freaks and
Geeks, and on and on
Music - Too many to list but a few favorites: Stevie Wonder, Jeff
Buckley, Run DMC, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Nine Inch Nails,
Shout Out Louds, Stars, Cure, The Bravery, Smashing Pumpkins, Zero
7, Elliot Smith, Shellac, Pizzicato Five, Jackson 5, Murder by
Death, Okkervil River, Eric Bachman, Poe, & Do Make Say
Think
Food - I love food.. preparing, sharing, and eating it.
The six things I could never do without
Friends, music, movies, food, sex and the way the wind feels on my
face when I ride my bike
I spend a lot of time thinking about
......
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Movies and books still get to me -- almost every time
I love finding VHS at the thrift store. I am probably one of the
last few people that you know that continues to buy VHS and gets
excited about it.
I get sucked into all music that is slightly symphonic or
dramatic..and if it has brilliant/emotional piano in it -- I will
have fallen in love with it within the first moments.
You should message me if
You just giggled, scowled, or paused to think.
You are willing to be spontaneous enough to meet up with a random
stranger to see if fun will ensue.
You want to go check out any of the random music that Chicago has
to offer.
You are willing to be a taste tester for any of my new random
baking adventures.
You enjoy meeting up for a mug of beer, good glass of wine, fun
cocktail, or coffee on a random evening or sunny afternoon.
You want to go see the pirate exhibit!
You are willing to go on random weekend camping or biking trips to
explore all of the fantastic midwest places that are oh so
nearby.
You can appreciate the brilliance of Harold and Maude
