My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So now it is spring! Buds on trees, lots of people outside, soft winter skin exposed to the outdoors. I love this time of year. I think my friends would describe me as gregarious, talkative, clever, dedicated, creative, and having an infectious laugh.

Slowly losing my job (non-profits and operational funding, amiright?) and taking the time to find work that not only pays bills, but also nourishes my heart and soul... I expect this may take some time.

I have a strong work ethic and moral compass. I am really great at people and friendships, planning and making decisions, and am struggling in the romantic entanglement department. I am a little rusty so here I am!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a firm believer in taking care of oneself, and I am proud of the life I have made. I have been successful in implementing yoga every morning to give myself a good start to each day. I love home cooked food, I love time with people, and I am back to biking, jogging, and walking outdoors.

This is a big transition time for me, as I am being cut to part time and eventually out of my job. So I am networking, building my resume, applying for SO MANY JOBS, and all that comes with it.

The Bedlam Lowertown is a space where I volunteer a lot and perform theater-ey things from time to time.

I cook, and love learning new cooking skills. I mastered pies, and now I am working on making homemade tater-tots (cauliflower-tots to be specific). So far, only ok. I am shooting for perfection.

I read a lot, with my book club and on my own. I can also carry a tune, and I enjoy hosting gatherings.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking in front of people. I have the opposite of fear when it comes to public speaking.

I am only OK at falling asleep, but I am really good at finding the most comfortable way to lie down.

Other things I am good at? Making people laugh, giving hugs/comfort, reading books, planning stuff, and cooking.

Oh, and wearing glasses.

I am terrible - TERRIBLE - at remembering to take out the garbage. I fucking HATE taking out the garbage.
The first things people usually notice about me

My laugh, and my smile.
And if you look hard, behind my glasses, my dark blue eyes.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could not successfully survive without my glasses.

But really, I need time with people, time alone, books, music, good food, and more of that sort of junk.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The Danish word 'hygge'.
The ideas in the book 'Flatland'.
What kind of food will I attempt to master next.
How much prosecco is too much prosecco. (trick question)
How well I would do on Wheel of Fortune.
What kind of job will let me shine.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The farther into my 30s I go, the more comfortable I am with relaxed Friday nights. So maybe I am home alone, maybe friends are gathering for a game night, maybe I am going out and about to a show (music, theater, art, whatever).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
All the terrible crap that's been happening and then is subsequently discussed on social media has made it really easy to identify which people in my life are racist.
