I'm an impressionable young woman going to school to study Botany. I enjoy madlibs, sitting quietly, and David Bowie. Some of my other interests include getting very frustrated with Lou Dobbs, putting hot sauce on everything, and gasping loudly during tense moments in horror films.

I'm also obviously not taking this very seriously, but I'm all for talking to people here.

Like I said, going to school, after which I plan to get some more schoolin'. I'd like to spend some time either working in the Boundary Waters area or with a non-profit organization (like the Peace Corps) before finding something that pays money, but hopefully there will be no actual "settling down" for several years. I would really like to be spending much more time kayaking and camping, but education might be more important right now... Anyway, I've got a job I really like working on local food issues here.

I'm pretty good at writing and some arty things... maybe I should be studying those... oh well. I can make a mean chocolate souffle and my breads are pretty good, too. Thanks to my parents I can name most oldies within the first few seconds and can spot Sean Bean a mile off on a foggy day.

My hair, dimples, or vacant stare. I've been told I have a really deadpan sense of humor that can be disarming if you don't already know that I'm joking 90% of the time.

Books: Anything by Bill Bryson, Freddy and Fredericka, Julius Caesar, Live With Jeeves, The Invisible Man, Catch-22, Lord of the Flies, East of Eden, Dracula, The Silent World... but I like everything from fiction to Cessna instruction manuals. I don't understand people who say things like "I don't read much... magazines and street signs are enough." To me, that's like saying "Yeah I'm not that athletic... I figure breathing in and out now and then is enough." I want me one of them readers.

Abandoning higher education for a life as a bush pilot in the north woods. I know I'm supposed to be an environmentalist and all, but I've gotta admit... love the smell of gasoline. Is it tacky that I think motorcycles are a turn-on? I plan to get a pilot's license as soon as possible, and buy a motorbike and/or boat at some point.

Ethics... I have competing desires to rid the world of evil and become a hokey supervillain.
