Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A few random things not in an actual paragraph: I'm generally
pretty happy, I read a lot, go to the gym some, paint, went to
school a bunch, never married, have some tattoos, I currently work
in organizational development, before that worked in public policy
dispute resolution, am more interested in compassion than
judgement, but I do plenty of both, I love spending a weekend at La
Push, I'm both pretty serious and an Fing goof off, now that I'm 39
it's starting to dawn on me that I'm in my 30s, I spend an equal
amount of time with friends/family and time alone, I moved to
Seattle in 91 but still feel like I'm a really a Californian, I'm
part serious grown up and part 14 year old goofoff, I'm generally
pretty truthful, I try to be thoughtful about what's happening with
the person listening and adjust. Okay well that's enough.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, painting, friendships/relationships, growing... I like
that I don't know what the future will be. I have a fairly busy
life and I'm on even footing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can bowl well, in fact the only trophy I've ever received was for
I make a killer mac'n cheese.
Making fun of myself. Telling crude jokes.
Talking with strangers. I really like talking to strangers.
Letting the dishes pile up.
Not being a sports fan. With the fever pitch lust for the hawks
everywhere, I feel compelled to say that I am not a sports fan
until we a. get the sonics back or b. get a hockey team. Till then,
mmph. If we get the sonics back I will sell my left foot for season
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Height most likely. Sarcasm too. I'll ask around.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: My favorite restaurant in Seattle is Bastille. I think I
could live there.
Books: William James, Gabriel Garvia Marquez, Vonnegut, Huxley,
Ralph Ellison, Howard Bloom, Herman Hesse, and a bunch of other
stuff. I'm currently reading a book called Quantum Enigma.
Movie: My favorite movie of all time is Big Trouble in Little
Music: Pretty much just EDM all the time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
People. People are what's it about.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mostly just whatever is currently happening or day dreaming about
the future. I actually don't like the latter so when I catch myself
doing it I stop. And truth be told I spend a lot of time thinking
about certainty and living in the unknown.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe dinner with my uncles or friends, home in my pjs watching
netflix. Whatever it is I'm chillen.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really like filling out profiles. And I'm not PNW
outdoorsy. I'm normal outdoorsy.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Because you want to. There is no other criteria for you to send a
message. If you want to send a message, send it. If I like you I
will reply. If I don't I'll probably reply anyway thanking you.
I'll probably like you if you seem... well obviously smart and
attractive, but please also like yourself. Don't be afraid of
yourself. I probably want you, not whoever it is you think you
should be. Also ladies, I know you all are notorious for only
hittin it and quittin it, but I'm looking for more substance than
