I'm part homebody, part explorer. A couple of years ago, I left my first life in academia to start a small business that leaves me, more often than not, covered in mud and slobber. I love to get dirty - with fuzzy creatures, in my garden, camping and hiking - but I also adore pretty dresses and girly crafty stuff. I put veggies in peoples lives. I love the city but have big dreams of someday having a little ranch with goats and chickens where I can make cheese and rescue a dozen dogs... I take naps. I vote. I've spent entirely too much time in central america. I sew. I think every dog deserves a bandana. I read...a lot. I spent many years on the East Coast which was rewarded unceremoniously with a Ph.D. in a spectacularly useless academic endeavor.
