I was raised by my Grandma til I was 7, then had a step mom take over, both taught me how to be considerate and put others first for the most part. I'm a pretty sweet mix of old fashioned values with a modern twist. Being considerate, little thing most lack. If you're not considerate that won't make sense to you, if you are, then you get it.
