My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like to think I'm a pretty funny dude. It's not my only feature, but it's my favorite, and making people laugh is a number-one life priority. Second to that is letting people see beauty in the world. If I can do both at once, I'm having a great day. That's probably why I want to be an author.

*important thought: what's up with girls cropping the tops of their foreheads out of pictures? do YOU do that? why do you do that? what's wrong with the top of your head? you aren't bald, i can see the hair coming down the sides of your head. what's the big idea?*

I "graduated from university" (as it's listed in My Details) in 2012 with a dual degree in Philosophy and Electronic Music, though that second one was more along the lines of Sound Design, since that's what I actually did. I love sound design now. BUT: Somebody needs to record a new squeaking door sound, because there is this ONE recording that they use in EVERY SINGLE SCARY MOVIE, and when I hear it it drives me nuts.

Uh, so, I ride bikes, I like red wine, play darts, read fiction (exclusively *raises nose*), write poetry, dick around on the internet, play too many video games, watch too many movies, eat too many bagel sandwiches, smile, sleep, walk, explore, jump, run, dance, laugh, drive, ride a motorcycle, and... swim? When I can? I like warm weather.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm deep in the middle of writing a novel. It's dark, it's funny, it's ordinary, and it's magical. I spent the majority of my summer traveling and riding my bike, but now that that's over I'm broke and finishing my book, so I don't do ANYTHING else.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usually my hair is a bit unruly, so they probably notice that. Or perhaps my eyes, which are blue.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Water! Curing dehydration has never felt better.

Movies! I love watching movies that I've inexplicably become obsessed with over and over by myself, and trying to convince people that they are as good as I think they are. I also love watching ANY movie, ANYwhere, but particularly at the theater, because it removes me from myself, and makes the fiction that much more REAL. After going to the movie theater, I adopt some of the traits of the protagonist, or at least I feel that way.

My family! I grew up very close with my extended family, and they've become a huge part of me. I don't know what I'd be if I didn't have them.

A bicycle! I ride my bike all the time now, and I really dig it. Exploring, going fast, and just being... so physical. It's like flying, but if flying were awful during ascents.

Writing! Putting thoughts on paper is the meaning of life.

And... Hope? I guess? Every day is like... well it's like a new day.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Writing. More specifically, about how I should probably be writing. And not this. But writing is haaardddd.
The nature of being. Complementary binary forces.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Eating a chicken parmesan sub and watching a movie with my parents. there's no joke to be made here.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Today is July 1st!
There is a cat yelling outside.

I messaged you, duh. Or if you're just trying to connect to people and can appreciate how even little moments can make life that much better.
Oh or if you think we'd get along. Or if you just want to see what I'd say.
