My self-summary
Maybe it's some lingering Southwestern modesty, but filling out a profile to promote myself always geeks odd. I feel that I'm a kind, intelligent person. If I write that here will the person reading it assume it to be true? So I'll give this my best shot.

I'm a reader. It's rare for me to leave the house without a book. Most often I have a sci-fi or historical non-fiction book with me as well as my camera. I like to explore different parts of Portland. Movies (of every kind and caliber) have always been a big part if my life as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Going to work and payin' bills. Spare time is largely spent reading and exploring. Also playing games with friend. Both board and video games.
I’m really good at
Enjoying small things. Also history and politics. And science and philosophy. So pretty much all the things that don't seem practical in the real word. If you're interested in talking about just about anything related to any of these things you should definitely send me a message. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm an introverted person. When the party grows louder I get quieter. That's not to say i'm a dull person by any means. I just prefer smaller groups of people in a quieter setting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a huge fan of all these things. It's hard to know where to start. Some of my favorite books are: Handmaiden's Tale, Embassytown, The City & The City, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, The Sparrow, and a lot lot more. At the moment I'm reading A Distant Mirror by Barbra Tuchman and Blood Meridian.
As far as movies go the list is too long and varied to be of any practical use on a dating profile. Mahler to Sage Francis, so just about anything really.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
History, game design, philosophy, movies, art, science, and how all of these things can be combined to create some really amazing things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going out for good eats and good drinks with some friends, or finding some people to get a game together.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–35

  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're interested. I'd love to meet up, maybe grab a drink. I love it when the girl makes the first move.
