Shiloh based the warrior academy upon the traditional values of the warrior-spirits and cultures of the country and the way of life of its people through the study of martial arts. From the 1980's, the association has incorporated the history of the warriors from Japan and South Africa, including the indigenous African martial arts.

The academy organizes its own memberships while affiliating with associated clubs worldwide. By doing this the warrior academy intends to train classes and be an academic study and information resource for members of the warrior community.

Shilo says: "I firmly believe that it's very important for students of academic warrior studies (studying the warrior arts) to join the warrior academy. Here they can study the enlightenment and harmony of the warriors spirits".

About the Director

Shiloh has been training martial arts as a young boy. His studies in martial arts gave him an experience that he will fore-ever hold dear to his heart. While studying in South Africa, he trained in Judo self-deference were he acheived the grading of Shodan (black belt). He would also train with the Jet-can-do and the African fighting systems. These arts form some of the techniques to the martial arts that we see today.

Shiloh left Africa with his family and lived in Portugal. Here he worked and lived for a couple of years. In Portugal, Shiloh would learn the Timor family martial arts. This was a form of Wing Chung and Kung fu. He acheived a 2nd Dan. A year later Shiloh would meet Jamie, who would train him in Yamabushi Ryu and Aikijutsu.

In 1996 Shilo moved to the UK. Here he would meet the Yamabushi and Aikijutsu clan. He would train with them for some time. While training in VIP protection, he would learn the combat system that would be incorporated into the systems he was now familiar with.
In 2014, Shiloh became the International Director of United States Martial Arts Association for South Africa and the International Director of the Institute of Martial Arts & Science in South Africa.

About Self –defence

By sensei shilo.

Self Defence. is about 90 per cent successful and is to do with avoiding violence . The remaining 10 per cent depends on using physical action to combat the attacker. We shall be dealing with some defensive fighting techniques it is easy to getting into a fight but the hard part is avoiding a fight as it is a difficult part but having said that , your own mental attitude is of paramount importance both in avoiding violence and fighting off a determined aggressor.

Essentially self-defence is keeping out of trouble but to do that successfully you have to be aware of all the situations and circumstances in which trouble is likely to arise to be able to adapt to the situation you are in, so the more you train the more you again knowledge the better equipped you are. If you ever have to use self-defence technique in a real situation you are going to be scared and under a lot of pressure. So it got to be fast and natural reaction. You need to be able to adapt with out thinking so that if you say miss with a kick you don’t stop but switch into another technique .

Practice. Put as much time into learning self-defence techniques as you can.

Mental Practice.
I found when training self-defence mentally going over in my mind it help me remember the moves and the different situations that would come from potential threats. You should also practice mentally . You can go over and play through’ different situations that you would find your self in, and that may come from potential threats.

looking at the soul of a woman

The beauty of a woman
Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries,
Or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.

It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years only grows
The first things people usually notice about me
