I am zesty, delicious, and fat-free.

My Self-Summary

I'm a wanderer (actually, I am currently in the process of being on the move again, we'll see how this goes). I move a lot and used to travel more often. Something I especially enjoy doing is watching people. There's a lot you can learn just by observing people go about their everyday activities. Everything else I know has probably come from books.
I'm also pretty opinionated. I'm a vegetarian and pretty liberal, but I also like to remain as open minded as possible. Intelligent debates are always more important than bullying, however lofty its pretense.

What I’m doing with my life

I love to create. Now all I have to do is figure out how one makes money at being creative. I think I'm closer to figuring this out than I have been in the past, but it's a big struggle.

I’m really good at

Talking. Memorizing useless pop culture trivia. Other things that wouldn't do me much good in the wild.
I've heard I'm a pretty good leader too, but outside of music I don't get many opportunities to test this. I'm very interested in how people work, though, what drives them, what their motivations are. I think that communications break down so often because people get an image of who they're dealing with rather than actually paying attention to the details.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not Jason Schwartzman. I kid. I've been told that my personality is what people notice first, I can be pretty outgoing, even though I don't notice that as much.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm a voracious reader, and listener, and watcher. Not so much with the food, though.
It's best to ask me about this, but for books I've been on a post-modernist kick for a while, particularly anything by Jonathan Lethem and I'm also very into all things Denis Johnson. Musically, I'm all over the place. I love hip-hop, indie rock, Cambodian garage rock, garage rock period, experimental music, classic country, punk, post-punk, post-post-punk (harhar), etc.

The six things I could never do without

A guitar, access to a library, pen and paper, and then the usual food, oxygen, water, that sort of thing.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Projects I'm working on, scripts and music mostly. I daydream and space out a lot and when that happens, usually I'm planning out things I'd like to be working on, given the proper time and resources.

On a typical Friday night I am

Sadly, probably indoors watching a film. But I do go to shows pretty often when I can. The economy has put a damper on that, though.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have totally failed to live up to my childhood dream of being a superhero. Kid me would be so disappointed.

You should message me if

You have a sense of humour and don't mind the occasional long-winded rant.
